;-), For the moment, Saavik, I think I'm going to ust put up with what I have! Maybe next year . . .

SaavikLeary

πŸ˜„ It sort of sounds like - Reek reek reeek, sort of rough sounding too, I can always tell when they come, not as loud as jays but sort of grating. Maybe they are doing it to warn other birds off, I know the woodpeckers do it as well. I hope you get some more titmice soon. I suppose a webcam might work but you have to make sure it's water proof if sticking it outside the window.

Interesting, Saavik. We've usually had just one or occasionally two at a time. But just in the last month or so we've been getting more of them. I'm getting so deaf I couldn't tell you whether ours are squawking or not. (of course our double paned windows are not helping. Maybe I should put a microphone out there.)

SaavikLeary

These little birds like my feeders - they show up in a group & squawk while they eat. 😊

bluebird42

thanks, Patti!

PLG1958

Wow, another fabulous shot at the feeder! Great work, Jacki! And thanks!

bluebird42

You're welcome Lorna. I like his hairdo too! And thank You!

goingsilver

He is so cute and I love his 'hair-do'! Thanks Jacki - great photo.

bluebird42

You're welcome Shirley, and thank You!

Heehee, Lela, he beat you to it! ;-)

lelabugosi

I was going to say EXACTLY the same as Ed, then read his comment ..... great minds (or not-so-great) think alike!

Shian2

So sweet and innocent, sitting there waiting for you to take his picture :)) Thanks, jacki.

bluebird42

Maybe our Cape Titmice are slower than yours. But you're right, they do move out fast. Kings (and Queens) of the Grab 'n Go Group.

bluebird42

Oh, I hope you can Ginni. Would love to see them . . . well, at least one of them!

bluebird42

Heeheehee! It will come! Edna. be sure of that!

miztarefet

Hahahaha Jacki , please don't exaggerate .....and i am waiting
for the bigger one too !!

Ginni2

He is very cute. Wish I would manage to see, and, even better, photograph, one of our tits some day!

pumpkinhead

Quite impressed you caught him perching still for a second! Such a handsome photo of him, Jacki. :)
I have about 12 photos of nothing while attempting to capture him. He picks up food seemingly without stopping--and leaves!

bluebird42

LOL, Celine! This little bird with the big eyes and a jaunty peaked cap grabs peanuts in the shell and carries them off to nibble on his own. Here's a shot taken last February:

Ardy, I've gotten several good photos of him, but always with his crest slicked down, so I was pleased with this one! Thanks and hugs

You're most welcome Edna. I didn't expect to see you here with this one! I am honored! Thank you very much!

Thanks, Janet. I'm delighted with it! The squirrels have found it too, but they can't climb the metal pole and have to sit at the bottom and wait for a bird to drop a seed. So they scurry back to the deck where there's still plenty of food for them. hugs

jan42ful

What a gorgeous little bird thanks Jacki, your new feeder is working so well and you are getting such a variety of birds. Hugs. β™₯

miztarefet

Great composition Jacki , every part, line and paint stain is in its right place .
Usually I don't do this size but on this one - I couldn't resist .... thanks !!

ringleader

He is posing so beautifully, Jacki. Thank you. Good luck getting out tomorrow. πŸ’–HugsπŸ’–

Heicel

😨 Good gracious, what's this - a de-colored cardinal?! 😦
And what has this little fellow done to deserve a name like 'titmouse'?? I'll go with the 'tufted', though even that sounds not impressive enough to do that great hairdo justice.
Somehow I don't feel this bird has been treated respectfully. Good thing he at least found a friendly feeder - thanks (to) you, Jacki!

bluebird42

He doesn't seem grumpy Hanne. He seems a little bit shy with others and friendly with his own kind, but not domineering. Hugs.

Elfie

Tufted titmouse - there's something very gentle about him, I wonder if he's a grumpy fellow way down under this gentle surface? How does he behave? Is he dominating ? He doesn't look so.... Hugs Jacki :-)))))))

bluebird42

Thank you Peggy!

That must be what happened, Ed. Thanks!

bowlakeboy

Great shot. So he finally ran out of Brylcreem?

Great photo.

bluebird42

It's pretty constantly got somebody on it. I'm getting a lot of practice pushing that little camera button! I was going to insist on getting away from the house today to find something else before everyone gets bored with these guys. But it's been on and off pouring rain all day. Hope tomorrow's better but I'll be off then rain or not grocery shopping etc.
