Spreadz deli-restaurants are located in Santa Clara and San Jose, CA. They advertise their use of, er, "BOAR' HEAD MEAT & POULTERY."

But I bet their foods are better than their spelling.

My local grocer started carrying Boar's Head products. I tried their Baby Swiss, and thought it exceptionally dry. Tried another of their products and thought the same thing. I stopped trying.

Mischka, the official name is Boar's Head Gold Label Imported Switzerland Swiss Cheese, which you can get in supermarkets that carry Boar's Head products.

You can order Ireland's Kerrygold Swiss from Amazon.
I also think you can get it from Whole Foods Market, and maybe Trader Joe's.

Do you have a Sam's Club or a Costco near you, Fiona. They have a great selection of cheeses from all over the world. Brands I have never heard of. You might look there for either.

Thank you, Sandrine! A bit of product placement goes a long way toward keeping Jigidi alive and thriving. :)

Never heard of premium gold Swiss, but now I have to find it or die trying. I think the best Swiss I ever tasted was Ireland's Kerrygold, but I can't find it in stores now for love or money.

I love Boar's Head brand deli meat and cheese products, especially the Black Forest Ham and premium gold Swiss. A bit expensive but well worth the occasional splurge for the excellent quality.

I looked up where this is in Santa Clara. After 26 years of being away, I would have gotten lost trying to find it...that valley has changed sooooo much. I would certainly hope their sandwiches taste better than their spelling. That is pathetic.
