You are right - but they are from house to house so that they can share the solar energy or have something running in the other house. If you saw how practical things were done here!! They really know how to use things!! And you are right about the solar collectors, and now, solar cells are even more effective because they only need light not direct sun! Thanks so very much Ank!
When I was solving the puzzle, I thought I saw a line, but then I thought inpossible the don't have electricity there. But now I think I saw it right, between the two houses I see two lines.
And indeed suncollectors are expensive but it works very good, we had 4 on the boat, we even did electic cooking.
Love all this information, Hanne. Thanks. The puzzle pictures have now appeared so I wasn't solving this one without knowing what it was. Actually I was a little disappointed as it added another dimension of fun to the road puzzle, not to know visually what it was first.
This is a very fine store house, better than those on poles. Here things are kept really cold. I think it's for all of the inhabitants to use. What I didn't tell you yesterday about the houses was a really precious thing: lots of solar cells and solar collectors on the houses. That's their way of solving the problem with no electricity. It's expensive but very smart!! Of course we looked in through the windows and saw lots of lamps for electricity, and the most surprising thing we saw was a water crane at the kitchen zink! They have enough electricity to pump water from the lake to the settlement - or they might have a well. We looked for one, but didn't find any. Whatever was in the house was very beautiful furniture and lots of little things to make it cosy. Curtains and carpets everywhere.
