The Montreal Botanical Gardens...tiled pillar

In June we travelled by rail from Vancouver (British Columbia) to Montreal (Quebec) where we spent five nights. We then took an overnight train to Moncton (New Brunswick). Next we drove to Prince Edward Island, Cape Breton (Nova Scotia), and flew home from Halifax.

I had that exact same impression, too, Allie...but I know Muslims are not allowed to depict living forms...so it must be the colours, the symmetry, and the finite detail. ❤️❤️❤️

alliebono

Gorgeous pattern on these! For some reason they are reminding me of Tunisia. x

gemstone

Good morning, Bubble...you were certainly up bright and early...well maybe not so bright! LOL Glad you enjoyed the tiles. Off to Prince Edward Island in this morning's puzzles...by car...and over Confederation Bridge. (I wonder if we'll ever be able to drive to Vancouver Island... ;)

Bubble

So pretty - thanks gemstone, looks like you had a lovely trip and one day we'd love to do the rail trip from Van. to Montreal. (❀ᴗ❀)

gemstone

What an ordeal. Sure hope this is the end of it.

I forgot to say thank you for asking about my daughter. Yes, I agree dianthus is more like it.

canoekaw

She is much improved and out of the hospital. She has an appointment on Wednesday to have the drain removed.

gemstone

Yes...I can see the hot air balloons, Marilyn! Although I see dianthus rather than cosmos. And I think you're right about the little blue flowers.

How is your daughter feeling? Has the swelling gone down yet? Sure hope she's feeling better. ❤️

canoekaw

lol my first thought was hot air balloons. My second was wonder what kind of flowers are they supposed to represent. I decided cosmos. The tiles give a feeling of movement. I think it is the outline of the little blue flowers which does it.

gemstone

:D

I think that's what is attracting me, too, Faye. The symmetry especially.

gemstone

Thank you, Marina. Glad you stopped by. :)))

MarinaNephele

Lovely symmetrical flowers and pots. Love their colours. Thanks. Marina.

gemstone

Ardy...to me the symmetry and the shape of the flowers gives it an Egyptian look. ❤️❤️❤️

ringleader

Something about this one really appeals to me. Thanks, Faye. ♥♥
