Portraits of 20th Century Women whom I seem to "recognize"
Portrait of a Woman, Tunis - by Alexandre Roubtzoff

Alexandre Roubtzoff was a Russian-born, French painter best known for his charming depictions of Tunisian life. Employing a style similar to Post-Impressionism, Roubtzoff captured the vibrant color and light of the country in his landscapes and portraits. Born on January 24, 1884 in St. Petersburg, Russia, he became captivated by Tunisia on his first visit in 1914, and remained there until his death in Tunis, on November 26, 1949.

You too sweetheart. . .wonderful weekend.

Thanks for this beautiful puzzle, Portrait of a Woman.
Have a wonderful weekend Doll.

Haze, Carol, and Isadler. . . thank each you for your comments. The textiles are indeed fabulous. . . and I am always amazed at the artist's ability to get the folds of fabric falling over the body. . . its light and shadows. . .its sheen. So glad you like this one.

I love this portrait. And I'm with @lsadler. This dress would hold its own among the Lebasque's any day. Thank you, Audrey!

All those lush textiles are fabulous, especially that dress! Looks like there may be scenes of people interacting, but I can't quite make it out. I would wear it! :)
