It is a good life and I try to remind myself of that often these days. I'm bored with being at home - miss bowling, bingo, lunches out, movies, supper with friends - but it is still a good place to be. I don't HAVE to go to work and I am safe here. I do manage the grocery store once a week and chat with my friends a lot by phone and email. Be safe yourself and hugs.
Hi Cirrus. Yep, Winter Park is still there. It is well known these days for a huge sinkhole that swallowed up most of a block. It is a lovely lake now with a surrounding park. Haven't been there is years, far too much traffic for me. I'm in Lake County, about 40 miles NW of Orlando, maybe 30 from the Winter Park outskirts. Born and raised right here, never left. Retired 5th grade teacher, 38 years. Used to sub a few days a week at my old school, but won't be going back this fall.
Hey Sue, I see your from central Florida, I was at the NTC in 1970-73. I understand it’s all turned into houses. Wow, your right, all change is not good. Is Winter Park still there, my apt was out the back gate. I never should have left, in NC now.
The way these are all sitting around together makes me wonder if they are examples of what this person can built. Used to be used mainly for pumping up water for big cow troughs in fields. Now I suppose it is mostly solar energy doing it.
