Why are you reporting this puzzle?

Used batik fabric to create this piece and a raw edge appliqué on the falling leaves. My long arm quilter, Deb Breese, custom quilted the swirling of the wind as well as giving each leaf more texture. Hope you enjoy the puzzle.

Connie,
They can make a big difference, can't they?

@jals…Hi Judy, Thanks for your lovely words. I took a class for this wall hanging and pattern. I had my wonderful Idaho long arm quilter do the artistic quilting. She really makes the quilt pop! - Connie

You are a fabric artist!
This is so beautiful, thank you for sharing!

Thanks, Gail, for all your comments. I fell in love with this pattern and had to make it. Raw edge appliqué is fairly easy by using fusible on the back and invisible thread zigzagging around the leaves; others might do a straight stitch around instead. I have tried several appliqué techniques through the years. Deb has a magical way of quilting with her long arm. If I want a custom touch, I send it to her in Idaho. - Connie

This is really special Connie! It's funny how the background of the photo has fallen leaves, made the puzzle a surprise. I have never done applique because I knew I didn't have the patience. These make a really natural effect, like they've fallen on a table top, or a picnic blanket!

I love the longarm quilting. I just stared! The swirls are so much fun to do, and it makes me sad I gave it up. I love how she worked extra patterns around the swirls and the leaves. I bet it is just as lovely from the back. Good job!!!

Thanks, bettysweet, for your comment. I loved how this pattern showed the back of the leaves and the windswept look. - Connie

Very beautiful @LadyLynnP1 The leaves actually look like they are blowing.
