honorsyaya, thank you for posting this. We need to be reminded every now and then, so that we won't let it happen again (hopefully).
Nothing about this personally surprised me OTHER than I had never heard of this piece. I'm glad you all found it of interest as I did.
Thanx for Sharing of This Monument...Which I Visited as the Small with the School on the One from School Trips...
they start to be silent about this also here in germany. and we had a good reason to remember!
I have no words for this, Just a deep sadness.
Unfortunately, the modern public school system is not teaching this much, if at all, in the US.
thank you for sharing this. I did look it up, mostly the pictures, but need to spend more time reading the whole story. So many people lost their lives needlessly in WW1 and WW11. We have a lot to learn and a lot to pass on to future generations so they understand and never forget the loss and devastation war brings and that we have a lot to be grateful for - our freedom comes from others great losses!
Thank you Yaya for sharing this photo with us - just the thought of those little kids being hurt is horrendous. Hope you're well and enjoying life. (❀ᴗ❀)
A terrible story that needs to be known. Thank you honorsyaya.
Thank you honorsyaya. We in the West have been ignorant of much that went on during WW11. When the "Iron Curtain" came down these things were lost to history for the West. It is so important that these incidents are revealed in an effort for the modern world to understand just how much people went through in the hope that it will not happen again. Thanks again :) We live in hope.
May They Rest In Peace - Heydrich be in purgatory.
Awful things happened in WW II.
A poignant monument, lest we forget. The atrocities of WWII. TFS
