Yes, teamac, they came in smaller sizes. The one I fell from was a large one. I've pretty much had back problems ever since. Oh well. C'est la Vie!

teamac

I made a patio table out of one of those once...

jals

You guys are a rough and tumble lot. I've only fallen off a horse once, and then one of the large wooden spools telephone and power companies used to hold their cables. We were trying to make it go around while we were standing on it, but there was a rotten board and down I went on my back. That is nothing compared to your stories.

dustydog

I agree! Today we had clear skies...LOTS of sunshine and 52 degrees, with just a tiny breeze. The snow from last weekend's blizzard is rapidly melting, and I took Dusty out for a nice walk. (Not too far, as his paw pads are "soft" from being indoors all winter.) But it was glorious for both of us! Tomorrow is supposed to be a 'repeat', so we will once again venture out.
Dusty (Happy, happy dog!)

teamac

BOY....if you do that ...don't tell me....I am worried enough about you up high!!!

teamac

Yeah ....I know what you mean about the concrete floor...that is what the store had...It was definitely one of the worst owies I have had. The second one did not hurt me when I did it...It caught up later.
Glad you came through ok...except for the toes ♥♥♥♥

Dclo

Alright you two! Let's think nicer thoughts 'cause I'm going free climbing this weekend, NOT! He hee heee, D

teamac

Yeah the first one was my fault...I worked in a store...and they wanted something to hang from the ceiling...got up on a very tall raise ladder and went to step down and missed the step....Hate that feeling of falling in my dreams....here I was doing it for real...That one hurt so bad...I think I threw up. It cracked my bones...but was my own clumsiness.
Just be careful BOY....scares me to think of it.

dustydog

teamac, And here I thought having a forklift come around the corner, and catching the 15-foot ladder (with a platform on top) I was on was bad. I found out that the fall wasn't so bad...it was that darn concrete floor at the bottom that almost did me in. Luckily, the scars have totally faded, thanks to a very talented surgeon, but to this day my toes are numb. Such is life, huh!

WOW Mac that's rough. I've come down off of them before in an unintentional hurry and got beat up myself but not like that. One twisted sprained ankle, stupid David on that one, and one extremely bruised "very inner thigh". I got very lucky on that one. My niche anymore are roofs and college apts. Took this one on due to Spring being work slower than I want and they needed it done ASAP. Talk later Mac, BOY

teamac

I used to be a monkey on them....but had a couple of bad falls from ladders...one cracked some bones and the last time ...I was carrying stuff up a ladder for a construction crew....in a storm at night as a roof they were working on started leaking ....I had just took my leg over the ledge...when one guy lost his grip on a tarp...it was gone with the wind and hit me just right...left me dangling by my knee on a three story roof. Messed a lot of things up in my back on that one and I am too afraid to try it any more...a step ladder makes my knees shake now.

Dclo

Fear is a good thing. Mine is more concern that I always try to keep " not at the back or front of your mind but kinda on the side". I will say Mac that I USED to go to the peak on a ladder and I am no longer interested in that. Ladders are grotesquely inefficient anyway. On the manlift yesterday and today and for at least 7-8 more days. Thanks Mac, BOY

teamac

Holeeee Smokes!!!
I am afraid of heights ...I would have been sick...
Aw heck I wont lie...I would have been in the hospital...just a little off the ground and my head swims...and I get dizzy.
Kudos to you to do this.
But...for goodness sakes...Be CAREFUL BOY~~~ Mac

Dclo

For sure Merrie.---- LOVE when the busy season hits, D

Looks like a big job. Thank Goodness you are getting a manlift. Be careful, Dave!!

yw! Sweet dreams!

Dclo

3,600 PSI pressure washer, three day dry then very light scrape by hand, prime and finish coat. Final trim out in black. ---Done here for the eve. Thanks pasta/jals, D

jals

Oh, I'll bet your shoulders are a mess. Mine hurt just looking at this. And standing on those ladders scraping is tricky. I hope the lift gets there and it helps. Ladders are shaky. lol
Yes, I would love to see the finished product, also.

Dclo

My shoulders are already junk dd. I mix it up with my left when I can. I will switch to mainly left tomo when I'm comfortably in the lift. I don't feel real comfortable using my left when I'm trapped on ladders. Ill put some more up as project continues. Thanks dd, D

pasta

Wow, Dave that is a pretty big barn, lot's of work! Be careful up there. I would love to see it when it's finished also.☺☺

dustydog

Holy Cow! Bet that by the end of this day, your right arm was really tired! Not to mention, your legs, from standing on the ladder all day! I'm pretty sure I'd never be able to do this. Bet this is going to look fabulous when it's done!
