Thanks MissJewely

Nice garden! I love seeing vegetable garden pics. Thanks for sharing:)

I will post a few more. I've hit my daily limit. I have to wait a while. Most of the garden has played out for the Summer season but I planting some cool weather crops. Radishes and garlic are in the soil. Radishes are up, garlic not yet. Some garlic is in raised beds and others are in the ground. I curious to see the difference. I'm betting the raised bed garlic will outperform.

Thanks jandchris. It is a lot of work but I enjoy it.

Yes, do post pictures of your various garden plots and keep us posted on what's happening. Your gardens are huge. A full-time job. And another full-time job to deal with the harvest. ~Patsy

What a lovely garden, a lot of hard work went into getting it this good.

Funny you mentioned raised beds, I've built two this week and plan for many more. The garden in the picture is 60 by 120 feet. I have another of the same size. It is currently sown is Sudan grass as a cover crop to build the soil. The current one will be converted to all raised beds. My raised beds are 4 by 8 by 2 feet. I'm experimenting with Hugelkultur. 3/4 of the depth is logs, sticks and wood chips I'll top it off with a good raised bed mix. In the first one I have radishes coming up already. I think I will post the pictures.

You have red clay, we have grey clay. I keep adding humus, including my own compost, but it's never enough. However, I don't have a large veggie garden. Just a veggie bed around the edges of a flowerbed, a raised bed at a community garden (with good soil!) and pots on the deck and pots along the outside edges of our cat pen, with wire mesh for climbing plants.

It was very good. Many pests descended on me this year. I only use organic pesticides and fertilizers. Commercial pesticides do work better but I don't want to eat them. It's not easy gardening in heavy red clay either. Notice the fence, I have a deer problem as well.

This garden does look good. I assume the harvest was equally good. Too bad about this year's.

Very neat!
