Waiting for the green flash

margie, as a kid, I loved to lie on my back in an open field at night and watch for shooting stars. Yes, the skies are full of wonderous things.

I came back to see if there was an answer. Thank you for that info. Many strange and unusual things happen in the sky above. You just need to be looking at the right time.

margie, one of those things that borders on the mythical. Some people swear that at the very last second before the sun sets, there sometimes is a green flash as the sun disappears. It is somewhat a tradition to watch for it in tropical climates.

What's a green flash? I know it has something to do with the sunset.
