Why are you reporting this puzzle?

Sorry about this . . . I may be just chillin' but it's on medical advice. To cut a long story short I moved too quickly yesterday which exacerbate the problem with my neck. I am now back in my neckbrace for at least 48 hours and have to take things easy. As it has affected the nerve in my right arm using my keyboard is a bit difficult and slow and, more importantly, can't prepare any new games. Although I do have a couple 'in hand' none of my "Agent Taskforce" would be able to create new ones and I will need that 'cushion' for when I come back.

I am sure it will only be a few days and will let you know ASAP when I will be back . . . thank you for your patience from this "old crock" . . . ;-)

Glad to know you're feeling better.

Trouble_and_Frog

Hi everyone . . . as long as my internet connection keeps up it's present momentum it looks like I'm back to annoy you all. I am a lot better now.

Thank you for all your good wishes and birthday greetings . . . much appreciated . . . ;-)

Ahh the dreaded Covid jabs . . . lol. From today anyone over 45 can book an appt in the UK . . . we are very much on schedule. We have been gradually going down the age scale in 5 year 'lumps' from over 80s although nurses, frontline careworkers and the clinically vulnerable were also invited at various points. I have had my 1st jab (Astra Zenica) and had no side effects at all unlike HWSBI I think he was trying to collect the full set and almost managed it. I was luckier than most as I had 2 nurses come on a home visit for mine as I was still shielding but HWSBI had to wait a bit longer and attend one one of the vaccination hubs.
Is that a bit of envy creeping in there Lela? lol. There was a lot of criticism for Boris when he ordered all those vaccines before they'd been approved and produced but I think that there are many now who appreciate his forward planning and have to agree that politicians can get it right sometimes . . . ooops . . . I've broken my own rule and mentioned politics . . . sorry I shall shut up now and get get a game posted . . . see you in a minute or two . . . ;-)

JayneH

Can't help myself . . . lol!!!!

peasterberg

Distemper and rabies?

sag1220

We had both of our shots here in Arkansas.

gemstone

Canada does not produce its own vaccines yet...but plans are underway. We get our Pfizer from Belgium...via Kentucky no less! When Pfizer and Moderna decided to upgrade their production line, it pushed Canada's schedule back 3-4 weeks. Then, our Provincial Health Officer decided to give everyone their first shot (after she had received her second shot, of course) to try to get some "herd" protection...especially from the variants which are surging here. Hopefully, the wait time will lessen from 16 weeks as the amount of vaccine arrivals increase.

ladywil2

In Quebec it is 16 weeks apart. We got our first Pfizer.

ladyblue

Happy Very Belated Birthday, Su! @Trouble_and_Frog

lelabugosi

Well, Europe (Not including UK) for some reason, didn't get the necessary amount of supplies. (As for so-called 3rd.world countries - it's probably best to not even go there!).

suemarie

I’ve had both shots of Pfizer (here in the USA, they’re 3 weeks apart), and my husband has had both of Moderna (4 weeks apart). We were lucky—no real reactions to any of the doses......I’m surprised how far apart some of you did/will get them.......

lelabugosi

@JayneH
Spain.

JayneH

@lelabugosi - where is "here"? In the US, those over 60ish were first.

ringleader

I had Moderna also and had no reaction. I'll be called for second dose sometime beginning April 23.

lelabugosi

"55-65 age group" That's me. I think here, the older people (as in over 65's) are getting done later.

gemstone

They're doing descending age groups here. However, through an error on THEIR recording I managed to book an appointment for myself at the same time as I was booking Ken's...which is good as we both have compromised immune systems. It's been two and a half weeks now so we should have some immunity built up, but with a new surge of variants we are still following all the protocols. However, the anxiety has eased a wee bit. The 20-39 age group are the majority in ICU now. The Astra Zeneca is only being used on the 55-65 age group here and is first come first served for teachers, supermarket clerks, meat packers, etc...those in close communities.

lelabugosi

Mrs. B hasn't been called yet! You'd think they'd do us both together, but that is how it is.

gemstone

Sorry to hear that, lela. We had the Moderna and Ken had a sore arm just the next day while my sore arm lasted 3-4 days...as is usual for me. However, the effects after the second shot sound more like your reaction. How's Mrs. B.? I hope you're both much improved tomorrow. At least now you know that you'll have some protection in 2-3 weeks. (Our second shots won't be for 16 weeks.) Take care and stay safe in the meantime. ❤️❤️❤️

lelabugosi

Well, yesterday I had my first AstraZeneca jab. Fine at first, but really under the weather today. (Like a bad dose of flu). Second one is supposed to be in 3 months time, though all could change, as government is talking about other vaccines!

gemstone

Thank you, Ardy. ❤️❤️❤️

ringleader

Bad weather, internet problems have kept Froggy from posting. Froggy will be here ASAP.

lelabugosi

Well, I'll just copy/paste last year's greeting to you (a day late) -

"As a special birthday treat, here are a couple of old songs for you ............

"♫ ♪♫ ♪ We are healthy, we are stronger,
we will stay inside no longer.......
We will sing our little song-a,
we will fight for Bonga-Bonga ♫ ♪♫ ♪ "

"da-da-dee-dee..........♫ ♪♫ ♪

through thick and thin,
braving cold and hail,
I'm a-posting all your m-a-a-i-l"...............♫ ♪♫ ♪dum-de-dum-dum-dum........"

NinnyBob

Sounds great Ringleader. Thank you. I have missed her and her puzzles and everyone.

ringleader

Watch this space next week!!!! (If her power stays on.)

NinnyBob

I hope you are continuing to improve T&F. I haven't seen any updates recently. Take care.

gemstone

Thank you, Ardy...hope you're feeling better today, too. ❤️❤️❤️

gogogo

Thanks for update on Su, Ardy. Good to know she is feeling well enough to be busy creating and researching puzzles. ☺︎
I can easily imagine that the two of you are finding it takes longer to do anything. Glad you both are persisting and are able to get on with things, even if at a slower pace. ♥︎

ringleader

Heard from Su this morning. She's doing better but says it takes longer to do anything. I understand that as I'm finding the same thing. She busy creating and researching for puzzles. She hopes to be back soon.

Hawkatiels

Sending good thoughts your way, Su. I hope that all is progressing for you.

ladyblue

@Trouble_and_Frog Hi Su! Not that I want you doing it, but thought you might enjoy viewing this one. :)

robf

So happy to hear of your steady progress, Su.
WE MISS YOU!

JayneH

So sorry that you're having quite the long haul to recovery but glad to hear you're mending and on the way to 'normal' comfort. The switch from 'patient' to 'patience' I'm sure must be most difficult, keeping in mind that success is the goal. Good luck with ongoing progress, Su.

ladyblue

Yay! Thankful it's not more complicated. :)

ladywil2

Best wishes Su. Hope you will be better soon. Take care.

gemstone

Progress! Yaaaaay!

ringleader

A turbo charge would be most helpful. LOL Glad things are getting better for you. Good the bone spur can be dealt with and locally. Glad for the update. (((HUGS)))

gogogo

Hi, Su! Thanks for update - so glad things are still improving. Wishing you well. ♥︎☀️♥︎

Trouble_and_Frog

Hi everyone . . . things still improving. It looks like I have developed a bone spur in my shoulder which is aggravating my neck injury. The spur can be dealt with locally and the hospital will be in touch. The way things are going I should be back soon.

Thank you for the update on Ardy Faye . . . ;-). She is now back home but the stairlift but is a bit slow . . . does anyone know how to turbo charge a stairlift?

MamieD

Good to hear you're on the mend :-) Take care xx

ladyblue

Great news Su!

bookish

Wonderful news, Su.

gemstone

@Trouble_and_Frog Glad to hear of your improvement! Fingers crossed that it continues. ❤️❤️❤️

Ardy has in but mostly "out" WiFi at the moment in the rehab centre...so I'll give you a positive update. Ardy will be going home tomorrow...where a chair lift on the stairs has been installed. She will also be having some assisted care from now on...which all her friends are overjoyed about! :DDD

Trouble_and_Frog

Hi everyone . . . thank you all so much. Your kind thoughts, good wishes and friendship is truly appreciated.

Things are looking up as the numbness and pins and needles in my arm is now subsiding and I am able to exercise it more. I have even been able to start designing my kaleidos and morphing/researching WAI games to start building up a little 'cushion' to fall back on. It's a bit slow at the moment but it's improving and it shouldn't be too long before I get back. Baby steps . . . ;-)
Now for another bit of good news . . . I have a telephone appt booked for next Tues with my consultant to discuss my test results . . . fingers crossed . . . ;-)

I am so sorry to hear that you have been in hospital yourself Ardy . . . I had no idea. I do hope your rehab is going alright and that you are not in too much pain. Those MRI's can be scary.
If I can't pop in before I'll let you know how my appt goes on Tues . . . toodle pip.

ladyblue

@Trouble_and_Frog Hi Su. Popping in to give hugs and positive thoughts. *~HUGS~*

MamieD

I hope things will improve for you. Take care and get well soon.

ladywil2

Thanks for the update. Take all the time you need. We will still be here.

NinnyBob

We appreciate the update. I am so sorry you are still suffering. Please take it easy and don't rush it. I hope you are feeling better soon. Take care of yourself.

prawnpron78

Su- I'm with the rest of this lot. You don't have to be sorry. Just concentrate on kicking that pain.

gemstone

As we get a little older, it takes a little longer, Su. Take the time to do it right. However, I will say "Get well quickly" 'cause we all would like to see you up and about a.s.a.p...but with no pain. ❤️❤️❤️

So glad to hear from you, Ardy! And glad to see that you're "connected". Thank Dr. John and Linda from us all for such great care of our Dear Heart. ❤️❤️❤️

SandiT

Su, I'm wishing you well and sending healing prayers for you. I surely have missed you. And Ardy, Jigidi is just not the same without you, my friend. I had a fall on Friday on an icy porch. My left wrist is fractured and I am currently waiting on an appointment with an Orthopedic doctor. Let's all think good thoughts of healing and returning to normal.

gogogo

It is good to hear from you, too, Ardy. Wishing you well with your recovery. ❤️

Hawkatiels

The heck with being sorry, Su, please just take care of yourself. I hope that everything gets back on even keel for you soon, and that you are feeling better. That's all that matters. Even though we miss you and your posts, you are the most important part of that for us.

ringleader

So sorry to read this, Su.I've been in hospital with slipped disc since last week
Saturday. Now at Rehab for maybe 20 days. I had been so hoping and praying that you were better. Took 5 tries to get MRI. They had to put me out to do it. Did hip injection on Monday. Cousin brought computer last night. This is my first use. Everything so different. So glad you can have M with you. Love, prayers and healing (((HUGS)))

lelabugosi

Good luck, Mischief_and_Amphibian!

gogogo

So glad to hear from you, Su. Thanks for all the information about what is going on with you. Hope you hear about the MRI results very soon. And hope there will be a good plan to put in place, to help you. The laptop sounds like the solution for the needs you described. Wishing you well - the sooner, the better! ❤◡❤
((Gentle hugs))

Trouble_and_Frog

Hi everyone . . . thank you so much for your good wishes, understanding and support. I had a phone call earlier from the radiography dept as they'd had a cancellation and wanted me in PDQ. To cut a long story short I've had my MRI and now have to wait for someone to contact me to see where we go from here.
At the moment I cannot move my right arm and my neck much so working at my PC is nigh on impossible. I have taken the plunge and bought myself a cheap and cheerful laptop as I can use it with the touch-pad using my left hand. It also means that I can sit in a more comfortable position supporting my shoulder when needed. I can at least keep an eye one-mails and household accounts etc

So sorry this is taking so long . . . when this has happened in the past it's only normally taken a few days to get back but this time it seems to be taking a little longer. I'll let you know when I hear something . . . take care my friends. I am really missing you all . . . ;-)

fasstar

Miss you. ❤️❤️❤️ (☆ᴗ☆)Teresa

Thank you for update, Su. Sending healing wishes your way. I hope, with more scans, that your medical team can help you to a good, and speedy, recovery. ♥︎

badwolvez1

Take care, best wishes from down under.

Trouble_and_Frog

Thank you all for your kind thoughts and best wishes. I'm afraid things haven't really improved and I am being referred back for more scans.
Thank you for the info peasterberg . . . being in the UK and reliant on the NHS (National Health Service) and this treatment is not available to me . . . ;-)

lol Donna . . . thank you for the link . . . ;-)

I will be back when . . . no, make that WHEN things improve . . . ;-)

I'm sorry for your neck problem and I hope you get well soon.
Je te souhaite un bon rétablissement :-)

Cute picture ! Relax and get well soon.

Sending healing vibes ..... Get well soon!

From one old crock to another, see if you can find a "Toftness Method" chiropractor. Practitioners of that method do not crack backs, they use gentle pressure to effect relief. My chiropractor, unfortunately, retired about 15 years ago, and I haven't found another since.

Gulliver

Sounds like chillin is wise..Be well.

gemstone

Sorry about your pain, your "discombobulation", and the neck brace...but if it works...do it! And don't rush back too soon...we certainly don't want you relapsing. Hope HWSBI is spoiling you. ❤️❤️❤️

prawnpron78

I understand neck pain. Here's hoping you are feeling well very soon.

Wishing you well in recovering, T&F. ♥︎
