Still not sure which puzzle of yours he wrote on--you said "this one", but this one is mine. Was it on one of your own snowflake puzzles? In any case, this had nothing to do with you, so I don't know why he did it......
I didn't report it; I merely explained that puzzles could be reported, and how to go about doing it. If you take the time to read the comments on your puzzle, you will see that it was dustydog who did the actual reporting, not me.
I managed it a few times, but than again I used to have that game, made with wooden pegs in a pegboard of the same design, so I'd had lots of practice.....
Yes, that scrolling was nice. It reminded me a little of some of the video games my kids played years ago, where you had to click on things you weren't sure did anything, like that bird house or the windows, or even the snowman, and some of them were just part of the scenery, and some of them actually did things, and it was a surprise, and fun, to find out. :-)
I guess I was thinking about how you had to scroll from left to right to go through the whole village scene. But you are right - there were also things that they dropped.
It had more features, but it also lost a few. The year before, you could move to different rooms, which I liked, and you could choose several different puzzles to do, not just the two they had this time. I also thought the daily scenes were a little more fun--longer, with more music--a year ago, and the animals moving about the rooms were fun. But this year, I had fun making the man, woman, and child wave from the three rooms, the cat move from window to window and meow, and the birds fly out of the bird houses. :-)))
That was very nice of them! I've never had any trouble sending their cards, so I have no idea why the calendars have caused so many problems. My son works with/writes programs for, etc., computers, for a living, and even he couldn't understand why there were so many glitches, or how to fix them......
I have 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015. They are all download into my laptop, so, as far as I know, they are mine forever. And they all still work. I bought a new laptop this fall, and you can no longer get the 2012 from Jacquie Lawson, but they were kind enough to send me a link so I could download it into the new laptop.
I had the ones for 2013 and 2014 on my laptop, because this was the first year they made it compatible with an iPad, and had lots of problems with them; finally, they both stopped working days before Christmas, so I never got to finish the season. This year, I couldn't even get it to download on the laptop at all (the same one I used the previous 2 years)! Again, I emailed back and forth with JLawson, but we never got it to work. But it did work on the iPad and my husband's desktop, so I stopped trying......
There are also some games on some of the cards, one that involves popping balloons and one that involves all sorts of sports balls. I have the last four years of advent calendars, and they all still work! But then I am using a laptop. I am hoping we get a new Valentine's Day card this year.
Tell me about it! LOL! After January 1st, the games would no longer work on my iPad, which is where I have the calendar. I exchanged numerous emails with the JacquieLawson folks, and they suggested any number of fixes, none of which worked. I finally gave up trying after a week. Then, not long ago, I tried opening the site again, and lo and behold, it was no longer showing a date in January, but one in December, and everything works again! I just make sure that the date on the calendar never gets close to December 31st again, because I don't want it to flip over to January again! :-)))
I really enjoy those advent calendars and their daily treats, especially the creative ones (like the snowflakes and the tree and stained glass decorating), and the games, which I still am playing (like the break-the-Christmas-ornaments and the match-the-cards). Worth every penny of the $4!!!
