There are a few of us, like that, I am glad you and I are of the same mind on weather. ; )
I live in the state of Michigan, about 50 miles (I think, I am just guessing) north of the Ohio and Indiana border. As to snow, there have been too many winters without enough snow here to satisfy me. The western part of Michigan, a little bit further north, gets lots of snow and it is due to the location along Lake Michigan. Towns like Holland (yes, we have a town named Holland with many who settled there from the Netherlands years ago), Grand Haven, Grand Rapids, or Muskegon, and even Kalamazoo, have that lake-effect snow fall.
You are quite up-north then, Roseheather?
I read several times this year about your very hot and very dry summer. I would have hated that, too. I do not like high temperatures and I love wintertime, specially if there is snow. Which we sadly do not get often.
Hi, Schutkleur, you are correct, no snow yet this year, but we are to have a mix later today of rain and snow. But we will most likely only see the mix in the air, as it will probably melt away as soon as it touches the ground. It was maybe a little early last year, but we can have snow even in October, where I live, it just doesn't long. The snow in November last year also didn't last long, it was gone by the next day.
We have had such a long summer, at least it seemed that way to me. We had very warm days in February and March and it seems to be continuing longer into the fall that I would like. I so like the cooler tempertures and I feel like I have missed a lot this past year. ; )
No snow yet, this year? Last year`s snow was early???
