Janet, I can recall Marge and I staying in a cabin at the Alexandra Headlands Caravan Park back in the '90s, and it rained the entire week we were there: 28" in total. The entry area at the bottom of the park flooded, and we couldn't get in or out for days. Not that it mattered really, because with all the heavy rain, we had no desire to go anywhere. ♥♥♥

Nev when we lived at Springbrook (Gold Coast hinterland) and Julian worked in the National Park there, we had 26 inches one weekend!! That was the huge 1974 Australia Day flood on the coast and in Brisbane. That was before they built Wivenhoe Dam, which was supposed to protect Brisbane from future floods!! Stay warm!! ♥♥♥

Janet, I walked in the rain again this morning with umbrella up. They have predicted between 3" to 4" in total for us just today. Quite heavy at the moment (11:30am). ♥♥♥

WOW! Nev that is a lot of rain. You will be growing webbed feet!
Hugs ♥♥♥

Dize, this year we've had: (all figures in points - I'm "old school")
January - 560pts.
February - 1187pts.
March - 2404pts.
All of that totals 4151pts. Our ANNUAL Sydney average is 3910pts.
(To arrive at mms., simply divide any of the above figures by 4.) ♥♥♥

Nev, that is absolutely incredible - 24" of rain!! We had 10 mls last night and were thrilled to get it!

Janet, I'm having a good chuckle. :-)))
More rain for us today, with a three-day predicted "rain-bomb" once more. That is a new phrase that has come into being only this year, thanks to La Nina. We recorded a massive 2404points here last month (yes, 24"), which now takes this year's total to 41.5". That's already 2.5" more than our annual average of 39", and we've got nine months of this year to go yet. Incredible. ♥♥♥
