If the earth was flat

Thanks for your comments, Pat & heathercru. In my household, I am the one most likely to send things flying off the counter or into outer space. My cat probably would like to help, but I steadfastly refuse to permit her access to any counter in the house. It's enough that she rains her long gossamer white hair all over everything else.

My Miss Pearl gives me many daily chuckles, and is the best company I've had in a long time. She often scrutinizes my face for several moments, looking for all the world like she wonders what is going on in my head. The curiosity is reciprocal.

Cats touch the water before they drink so that they can:
1-determine how deep the water is
since they don't want to get wet while drinking
2-move the water since they like to drink from fresh water

Andy, my cat's hair does not have to pass through her digestive tract before being deposited in a veritable blizzard all over the house. But she does "favor" me with genuine hairballs, too.
My Miss Pearl does not knock over her water dish, but she invariably dips a dainty paw into the water before drinking. Not sure why; any ideas, anyone?
Oh, and her favorite toys are (no surprise) feathers; swab sticks are a close second.

Well, leslieg, you have just added another category of "stuff" to the short list of things cats will leave on the earth: toys. (They must be things that cats choose to use as toys, though, not things that we humans alone call toys ;~) )

We have a cat that will push a nut out of the bowl, off the counter and all over the house (tiled floors.)

Ours usually knock over the water cup from the sink cupboard. The reason for the cup is our oldest watched us filling a measuring cup(hint) and stuck his nose in it, so ever since ; they have a Pyrex cup for water, as well as a couple next to the food dishes.

Nothing that smells like carnivore food would remain. It would be eaten or buried.

I can vouch for this! My cats once knocked off its pedestal a beautiful porcelain vase that had cost me $350 at an estate sale. I was devastated.

Which part is the truth, the Earth being flat or Cats able to push all stuff off? Personally I believe in the cats.
