I do want to know too. Another thing I want to know is why clouds have so many colors. Its original color is white and changes by the light? Do want to know.

I'm glad I could bring it back for you mariolyn. I've always loved it - camp fire or not. Kate

Thanks. I'd forgotten this old camp fire song.

Thanks Dankat. All natural, beautiful and mostly undifinealbe

Tell me why the stars do shine
Tell me why the ivy twines
Tell me why the sky's so blue
And then I'll tell you just why I love you

Good song too. Both have some "blue".

The first song that comes to mind is "Don't it make my rown eyes blue" by Crystal Gayle. Lyrics are similar... more or less :-)

It's from an old, old song - I think it was written for an American movie in the 60's but not sure. The last lines are - "tell me why the sky's so blue, and I will tell you, just why I love you" (maybe Debbie Reynolds sang it - or someone like that. Don't know much do I?)

tell me !! ???

"and I will tell you, just why I lo . . ."
