thanks Heidi, I have been online and we can get the JIF stuff where we shop so I will try the crunchy sort. It can also be got at Amazon etc.I do love most things with peanuts in.

Surreal_Heidi

Juneee... if you will give me your address, I will send you some nice JIF, both the smooth and the crunchy kinds. I'll even pay the postage. It'll be worth it to let you taste good peanut butter.

Surreal_Heidi

Now THAT was a quick thinking wife! Solved all her problems with one shot.

patsquire

Ah, the old "bear ate my face" story, sure BSD, I believe you. So the question remains: how big a gun does it take to save yourself from an angry bear?

Brings to mind the absolutely true and triple-verified story of the divorcing couple in the Rocky Mountains who were hiking a favorite trail while they worked out the property settlement. The husband was being his usual pain-in-the-butt self about it, when suddenly an angry grizzly bear came roaring out of the woods at them! The wife had only a tiny .22 derringer with which to save herself, but it was plenty. She shot her husband in the kneecap, and strolled in the most leisurely manner back to the house.

Guaranteed true story. Just like BSD's bear ate my face story.

Plumpossum

And maybe some fig jam.

Plumpossum

Junee, baby, if you will give me your address and pay the postage, I will send you some GOOD peanut butter.

Robbiel

June you obviously tasted a yukky one like Heidi was describing.

juneshone

I only ever had one bite of the stuff, yuck. I would love some really good PB but doubt if we have it in England. I used to make Peanut cookies and they were gorgeous and I love peanut brittle so why was that so horrible. Well it felt a bit like eating wet cement

Robbiel

So sorry BSD, I didn't think before I spoke........my apologies. Thank you ladies and Lela, you struck the nail on the head mate, I've been angry since last night!! I had a shouting match (Jenny called it) with our Apple Computer guy Greg yesterday. I ended up asking why when a new computer or up-date goes in, so much of the previous stuff is deleted or changed!! All the I-photos are now mixed up because he changed from something to dates........the problem is that we use different cameras and the dates are not always up to date! So the pictures go in all over the place! Anyway, I'm getting gribble again so I will shut up and wait for the Big Ben story! You're right Heidi.....about everything!! Health store PB SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Surreal_Heidi

When did the Avon Lady change her name to what she truly is?
I've been awol for awhile (it's calving season on the farm) and have missed a lot.
I agree that a good peanut butter is heavenly. A bad peanut butter is one of the nastiest things in creation. The worst I've ever had came from a so-called Health Food store. Flavorless and oily, with an awful smell.
The person on the left has a healthy complexion, a big smile and a healthy appetite. The ''person'' on the right is jaundiced, desiccated and appears to voluntarily suffer from dwarfism. Not a healthy combination. Proof POSITIVE that (the questionable) Dr AB Bugosi is a quack of the worst kind!!!!

By-the-way.... I've often wondered if AB Bugosi is any relation to AB Normal of ''Young Frankenstein'' fame?

Elfie

The star?? - is nothing but a sweet receipt - a lot more pretty than those you get in the supermarket.....

Grandma Mr. Bugosi.

lelabugosi

Hee-Hee-Hee!.......Must say, I fully agree with "Mr.Angry-in-Bermuda"........While it's sort of nice to see all the stars, it certainly means absolutely nothing, and all are certainly welcome to break the symmetry!......
Make-up-lady-with-no-make-up......Yours is indeed a heart-wrenching STORY - such a shame that your alcoholic mother could do nothing to prevent the attack........
Juneee.......such beautiful poesieeeeeee!...............

grannygoatlady

You go Robbie...Round...Rotund....Jolly...and Right on..........

And I love the quote from Dr. Seuss, junie.........

juneshone

"I'm quite happy to say
That the Sneetches got really quite smart on that day,
The day they decided that Sneetches are Sneetches
And no kind of Sneetch is the best on the beaches.
That day, all the Sneetches forgot about stars
And whether they had one, or not, upon thars."

juneshone

I heartily agree Robbie, I very rarely get starred people do my puzzles except for our little gang. I am delighted with the input from each and every one of them, Star Bellied Sneetches or not

SOB SOB SOB (sob as in crying)

I'm SORRY Mr. Robbiel! I can't change my expression. I was attacked by a bear four years ago trying to save my little puppy and my face was ripped off. I had a face transplant but they could not reattach all of the muscles. It's the worst during fly season!!! I'm just lucky to be alive at this point. Praise be to God!!! I'll go away now. God bless you all!!!

Robbiel

I may get flack here but I don't give a rat's a**! Jigidi is advertised as a free site and open to anyone abiding by the rules. Getting a star is optional and I will recommend to all if they use the site a lot and are interested in creating, solving or just following certain puzzles then paying $18.00 for a year of fun is well worth what you get from it. But I am tired of seeing people chastised all over the place simply because they don't have a star after their name! I apologize to you Lela and Squire and other star users, but my puzzles are open to all and I am happy to see anyone on the leader board or comments or just anonymous............One other thing before you tell me to bugger off..........Wipe that stupid grin off your face BSD, you shyster!!!

grannygoatlady

Well, I tried again to add my star....but I just can't seem to break the 40 second barrier......

I really did get 10 stars on my latest creation! What do I do?

juneshone

love toi help but I am very slow and I still have indigestion

patsquire

We lost our Ten-Star to a bunch of non-stars.

Elfie

What's going on - or - off......?

grannygoatlady

Has Elvis left the building?.........

juneshone

.........neither am I...................

lelabugosi

..............(I am not here)..............

Robbiel

He is in hiding MZ, he misplaced a lot of mail this morning and the authorities are after him! GGL and teamac, two new delicious recipes, thanks!

gemstone

Perhaps the pomegranate grenade did lela in???

grannygoatlady

OMG, teamac...I gained 5 pounds just reading the recipe....but it sounds WONDERFUL.......Bet it would be great with chocolate icing as well..........

teamac

One last Peanut butter recipe...for fudge lovers....
1cup Peanut butterand 1 can of vanilla cake frosting ...put in a big microwave bowl as it bubbles up...cook on high 3 minutes... then poor into a pan to set.
Makes good fudge with no fuss and very little cleanup.

Can I come too? I'll bring free lipstick samples for everybody!

Elfie

GGlady would you try to bring some of those Belgian waffles? I sure would like to taste them...peanut butter and honey sounds marvellous to me, don't really know why..... but...

grannygoatlady

And one last recipe from me....Belgian waffles spread with chunky peanut butter and honey....

And looks like you made it Robbie....we're all still here....except for junie whose tummy is troubled...possibly from all the peanut butter recipes.........

Robbiel

JYL, now that sounds like a wonderful mixture, going to try that today, thanks! Hope you feel better today June!!

juneshone

can't remember what this party is for but I have indigestion so I might just stay at home

jyl

Okay, I can't resist: one more recipe. Peanut butter on toast with a little hot chocolate mix sprinkled on top. You must get the mix on quickly so it melts a little! Deeeevine!

Elfie

I think you'll have plenty of time Robbie, this might be going on for a good long time!! Enjoy your dinner.....

Robbiel

Looks like the set is on!!! Oh, I have to go out to my mate's for dinner tonight, hope I make it back before you all pack it in!!!

juneshone

I can bring an appetite for Robbie's belly pork

Plumpossum

:o)))))))!

JM_Cookie

Plumpossum, Robbiel, pdevredis, Hanne, I say Let's PARTY !! :-D

Elfie

And of course!! - I'll bring some coffee from the big one in the John Lennon-incarnation's house!!! Mat, what do you say???

Elfie

And I'll bring some appleschnaps!! And some quinceschnaps!!

pdevredis

I can bring the Pepto Bismol!

Robbiel

I can bring some pork belly and fried turbot!!

Plumpossum

I can bring some fig jam too!!!

JM_Cookie

It looks like a Ten Star to me!
Lets Party, we can have Pomegranate Jam on Ritz Crackers :-)

grannygoatlady

Hanne...fun video...plus one of my favorite Fred Astaire show songs....(did I just date me?).......

Elfie

GGLady and everybody else!! When you enjoy your Ritzes enjoy this too! It's exactly as decadent and naughty as the recipe sounds to be:

www.youtube.com/watch?v=OG3PnQ3tgzY‎

juneshone

unless it's in the bed. I got some last week but never again, the box was gone in 2 days

patsquire

You're funny, GGL, but it sounds quite loverly!

"Everything's better when it sits on a Ritz"

grannygoatlady

One more peanut butter recipe for those of us who are PB lovers.....Ritz cracker spread with peanut butter and topped with a marshmallow...pop in broiler just until the marshmallow starts to melt and turn brown......Be careful though....they are addicting. I never buy all 3 together anymore because I don't know when enough is enough.............

juneshone

if we all did Beauty's puzzle it would be a ten star of ten stars, it's getting there

juneshone

I don't think it can taste the same, a whole large country can't be wrong, it really was foul

patsquire

Well Juneee, there are many kinds of peanut butter and some of them are pretty awful, especially the ones that proclaim loudly how "natural" they are. I recommend JIF brand or SKIPPY brand, and then who knows if the european-made stuff tastes the same as the U.S. recipe.

I made a 10 star puzzle too Mr. Squirt!!!!! http://www.jigidi.com/puzzle.php?id=AV52OHSZ

lelabugosi

The voice of dissent.........Hee-Hee!............

juneshone

Never ate peanut butter as I thought I wouldn't like it so last year I bought some, YUCK! I was right

patsquire

WHOOP-WHOOP-WHEEEEEEEEE!

Another tenstar! Hooray for Bugosiland!

patsquire

There you go Hanne - - - there's your fortune! Start importing peanut butter! Before too long you'll be the PB magnate of your town, then the big cities, and soon the entire nation of Denmark! People LOVE peanut butter once they get a taste of it.

I'm glad you liked it Robster. I've been eating them for 50 or 60 years!

gemstone

Weeelll...your avatar might! LOL

JM_Cookie

I eat like that and still have Abbs Of Stone

Elfie

I hardly dare say it, but peanut-butter is almost unknown to us......

Robbiel

Heh heh heh.......I'm a happy blimp!!..........Squire the sandwich was delicious, took a picture, hope it comes out! Thanks mate!

lelabugosi

WELL!.......Calling the venereal.....I mean, venerable doctor a "skinny runt".......whatever next!!.....

Plumpossum

The best PB sandwich is layered with orange slices. . . .

Robbiel

Now that sounds downright delicious Squire, coincidentally I made homemade peanut butter two hours ago, that is my dinner tonight, thank you! (I had four thick pieces of pork belly for lunch so I feel a bit piqued right now!) Oh I just caught a glimpse of the skinny runt above..........I feel much better now!

patsquire

OK gorgeous! But I didn't say I didn't believe you, just that it was news to me!

HIIIIEEEEEE Mr Squire!!! Google it. It was one of Elvis' favorite!

patsquire

Hold on now, I loved Miracle Whip and chose it over mayo for 30 years! But you know, tastes change literally as well as aesthetically when you get older, and now I'm back to mayo exclusively. But anyone who loves MW knows what she's doing!

PB and bacon? Never tried it, never even heard of it! But if you love a peanut butter sandwich try our old Squire family recipe. Make it just like a grilled cheese sandwich, but with PB instead of cheese! PB in the middle, butter on the outside, plop it in a frying pan, turn, both sides golden brown and a little crispy, PB melted in the middle! HEAVEN!

(If you cut it with an X you get four little triangles, delicate, tasty, HEAVENLY!)

Lelabug: Oh THAT Daffy! Mmmmmmmmmmmmm..........

I sent you a box of candy Mister MasterHenry! http://www.jigidi.com/puzzle.php?id=8S3ZQIJ5

MasterHenry

I'll try and make a 400-piece puzzle, and call it "Guess What?"..........

No thank you Mister MasterHenry but I bet Miss June would love to see it! Can you make a puzzle of it?

MasterHenry

I have a pimple on my bum.......would you like to see it, LadyWithoutMakeup?.......

Mama makes us peanut-butter and bacon sandwiches. Once I got a pimple!!!! YIKES!!!

juneshone

when we had a pub I used to make my own mayo and yes it is a killer, faster than a speeding bullet

gemstone

ggl...right! Mayo...richer, thicker, clogs your veins quicker!

buckeye425

Bacon and mayo sandwich..... sweet perfection!!!! (Keep that other MW stuff away from me too!)

Mayo mmmm!In my theatergroup I was the first and only eating pommefrites with mayo ...and now they eat it all!!! tja ,and I am still too thin ... mayo mmmmmmmm

juneshone

to heck with being good, by my time of life I just enjoy. Little daffodil your skin is one of life's great pleasures so give it up joyfully.

grannygoatlady

I think I'll just stick to my peanut butter sandwich.....it has the "good" fat you know......

Elfie

Oh yeees!! Duck skin!! Crisp too!!!! mmmmmmm..........

Robbiel

Miracle Whip?!........sweet plastic goo, not even good as glue!! YUKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

juneshone

if you run out of bacon perhaps a duck sandwich, can I have some duck skin too please

lelabugosi

Mr.Le-Squirt.......Please, don't try that "memory loss" number on us........You have all but admitted that you stole "Daffodil" the duck, cooked her in a pot, and ate her.......She was the pride and joy (and not-very-long-lifelong "companion" of Uncle Henrietta)........you are indeed, A SCOUNDREL!....
Plumpy.......HMPH!.....and Tsk, tsk!.............................
.............................."squeak"...............................................................

juneshone

hold the mayo, just make my bacon crisp please

gemstone

But forget the mayo and use Miracle Whip instead!

Plumpossum

Lela, one of those bacon and mayo sandwiches might help to relieve that squeak you seem to have.

patsquire

Right on, Robster! You too Hanne! In restaurants if the waitress says they don't serve bacon sandwiches I say, "OK, then I'll have a BLT hold the L hold the T."

And by the way, WHO is UncleHenriettaBugosi and WHO or WHAT is Daffy? Here I'm getting called a scoundrel by somebody and about something that I DON'T EVEN REMEMBER!

Leemee alone UHB, you bother me! (W.C. Fields)

Robbiel

BACON!!!!........MAYO!!!........BELLY!!!.........HOW DECADENT!!

UncleHenriettaBugosi

You rogue on a bike!.......Where's my Daffy?.........Own up, you scoundrel!..........

Elfie

patsquire - could you make it TWO sandwiches?? - one for me too, please - and not too little mayo, please?????

patsquire

Are too!

lelabugosi

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK!.................................(I am not)........

patsquire

OK, I just wiped my fingers. I've been having a bacon sandwich with mayo.

Now I'm looking at this puzzle. OH! WHEW! I'M SO GLAD IT'S NOT ME in the left-hand picture! Ummmm, not really too sure what you mean by "an unhealthy lifestyle" but I'm still hungry so I'm going to leave you now and make another bacon sandwich (with mayo).

You do know, don't you lelabug?, that in many cultures of the world the most respected man in town is known as "a man with a belly."

Plumpossum

Lelabug, you will doubtless be delighted to learn that my pomegranate bush is beginning to bloom!

gemstone

"Something in between"...Roger? How about right in between those lecherous eyes of yours????

Robbiel

I don't think so Roger.........that is one fine looking specimen on the left!..........And I don't mean the bogus Doc!

buckeye425

Roger, maybe... or maybe not...
