I am going to book a table at a Chinese restaurant as soon as they open. I am suffering withdrawal symptoms!

I'll ditto your last sentence :))

Fowly

Thank you Bonnie. I do hope little Squiggle survived. I must say Hoff seems to have an epicurean palate!!!!! Squirrels, Lemmings, what else I wonder. I actually had lunch in my favourite Thai restaurant today, Mango Curry........DElicious. First time for months, and I have take-away for tomorrow. Lucky me. Fay. Still take care everyone.❤️

msbonne

Very similar to Lemur.

manicpuzzler

What do Lemmings taste of, apart from squirrels?

msbonne

Of course not.

manicpuzzler

LOL :)) :)) Not chicken?

msbonne

A squirrel?

Tatse like lemming.

manicpuzzler

It's my affectionate term for a squirrel :))

RSPCA are due any minute now :))

Fowly

I hope baby squiggle is OK. iPad problems again, that should have gone below. {{*_*}}

Fowly

Please enlighten a Down-under dunderhead...what is a squiggle... is it a Hedgehog???

manicpuzzler

A few hurrah's and a few harrumph's :)) :((

Disaster this morning in my garden! A baby squiggle was having her breakfast on the ground feeder. A neighbour's cat saw it and attacked it (my cat's are indoor cats for this very reason!). I managed to get rid of the cat, but the baby squiggle is not well, blood coming from its mouth and ears. I have scooped her up and have put her in a rag filled box (I have punched air holes). I have called the RSPCA. This happened at 7 a.m. this morning and they can't get here until 9.30. I am checking on it every 20 mins or so. Poor little critter has stopped bleeding and her breathing has settled down. Just hope she makes it.

Surreal_Heidi

My guess was Incheon. Oh well.

I got it

msbonne

yes Bonnie, yes it is.

manicpuzzler

It's the fault of all those TP hoarders! :((

msbonne

You just think that because you no longer have the pages.

Simple, really.

The 'rules' are getting more complicated :)) :))

msbonne

As Busan was simply Susan misspelled, Busan is out.
Daegu and Gwangiu, are to difficult to allow in, so they are out.

correct answer

c) Pyeongchang

manicpuzzler

Yay Solid :))

solidrock5806

I remember they stressed how to pronounce the name, and not to mix it with the capital in north.
Seoul 1988 summer games
Pyeongchang 2018 winter games

ringleader

Miss this one,. Thought it was Seoul. Didn't watch it. Thanks, Bonnie.

manicpuzzler

I remember thinking it was a funny sounding name at the time :)

hippo

No idea... I'd have guessed Incheon for some strange reason...

Stillmanic

And the answer is................ f) Pyeongchang

The 2018 Winter Olympics, officially known as the XXIII Olympic Winter Games was an international winter multi-sport event that was held between 9 and 25 February 2018 in Pyeongchang, Gangwon Province, South Korea, with the opening rounds for certain events held on 8 February 2018, the day before the opening ceremony.
Pyeongchang was elected as the host city in July 2011, at the 123rd IOC Session in Durban, South Africa. This was the second time that South Korea had hosted the Olympic Games, having previously hosted the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, but it was only the first Winter Olympics to be held in the country. It was the first of three consecutive Olympics to be held in East Asia, the following two being Tokyo 2020 (summer) and Beijing 2022 (winter). It was the third time that an East Asian country had hosted the Winter Games, after Sapporo (1972) and Nagano (1998), both of these cities in Japan. It was also the first Winter Olympics to be held in mainland Asia.
The Games featured 102 events over 15 disciplines, a record number of events for the Winter Games. Four events made their Olympic debut in 2018: "big air" snowboarding, mass start speed skating, mixed doubles curling, and mixed team alpine skiing. A total of 2,914 athletes from 92 NOCs competed, including the national debuts of Ecuador, Eritrea, Kosovo, Malaysia, Nigeria and Singapore.
After a state-sponsored doping program was exposed following the 2014 Winter Olympics, the Russian Olympic Committee was suspended, but selected athletes were allowed to compete neutrally under the special IOC designation of "Olympic Athletes from Russia" (OAR). North Korea agreed to participate in the Games despite tense relations with South Korea; the two nations paraded together at the opening ceremony as a unified Korea, and fielded a unified team (COR) in the women's ice hockey.
Norway led the total medal tally with 39, followed by Germany's 31 and Canada's 29. Germany and Norway were tied for the highest number of gold medals, both winning 14. Host nation South Korea won 17 medals, their highest medal haul at a Winter Olympics, five of which were gold.

manicpuzzler

LOL me either!

msbonne

I never much cared much for pneumonia myself.

manicpuzzler

LOL, but OMG!

ParsonWayne

I have had double pneumonia twice and I'm not even a twin.

manicpuzzler

msbonne

Did he used to be a hen before... er... tramsitioning??

manicpuzzler

ʕ๑‿๑ʔ꒰•‿•꒱ʕ๑‿๑ʔ LOLʕ๑‿๑ʔ꒰•‿•꒱ʕ๑‿๑ʔ

Ruddy Nora Heidi!

msbonne

Does Bubble know about this?

hippo

Careful, Misch - she's probably allergic to bubble wrap too...

ParsonWayne

I think that is a good policy to stick with, Hoff.

Mischka

Double pneumonia? Holy Hell, @Surreal_Heidi, we're going to have to cover you in bubble wrap! How are you feeling today?

Surreal_Heidi

I didn't watch them. I don't remember tham even being held, since I was sick with double pneumonia then.
So, I don't know and will have to guess.

msbonne

It was an excellent thought hippo. Do not get down on yourself.

hippo

Oh... my bad...

:)

msbonne

hippo, very keen observation.

HOWEVER, when moving Nepal to Korea (or any small landmass or islet), I know it will only be a short stay, therefore do not use ANY adhesive.

ringleader

I think I remember. Thanks, Bonnie.

ParsonWayne

Random Thought:

A customs officer at the Mexican border noticed a man coming across one day on a bicycle with two small sacks tied to the handlebars. He naturally got suspicious and asked him to open the sacks, but when he did he found nothing but sand. This went on every day for the next month. Each time he'd stop the bicycle and open the sacks, and he'd find only sand. A few years later, he ran into the biker in a restaurant in Tijuana. After some small talk he said, "Come on. I know you were smuggling something all that time. I won't tell. I'm just curious. What was it?"
The other man said, "Bicycles."

ParsonWayne

Another one that I remember.

hippo

Remember...

Nepal has NEVER been in Korea (or you'd see the bits of sticky tape on Hoff's map)...

manicpuzzler

Well done, in advance and a jolly good morning to you (it's afternoon here :) ) :))

I got it good morning

manicpuzzler

It will come to you :))

solidrock5806

Hmmmm....
