Nice! Have a lovely afternoon!!

Atsutsa

Yes, Calluna, your wish has come true. Full sun and blue sky - no clouds, and snow has hearly disappeared.

calluna

Good to know. Thanks! And YAY for the blue! Maybe you'll get some sun, too! Brisk but sunny here. Gorgeous blue skies. Makes such a difference. :D

Atsutsa

Calluna: Think Taos Ski Valley. Northern New Mexico is an extension of the Colorado ski resorts. It was until about 1/2 hour ago....now melting...but it could pick up again. At least there's blue between the cloud layers.

calluna

Keep forgetting you're at altitude....I don't generally associate snow with NM LOL
Is it still coming down?

Atsutsa

And, as if by cue.....the first snowy, on the way to Christmas, morning...looks to keep coming down too.

Atsutsa

I know Becky.....it's melting now....about 1/2 gone. Blue sky is out and it might mostly be gone by tomorrow morning for sure. It's warmed to a balmy 36 degrees which, if in Wisconsin, wouldn't mean melting, but here our ground almost never fully freezes so it all gets warmed quite easily.

I know that feeling all too well - watching the familiar landmarks of your yard disappear under a blanket of white, or getting up to a brand new scene in the morning. Enjoy!

If I noticed Jigidi-Post, I didn't focus on what it was. I go straight to notifications or look for monster jigs that might be fun. ;-PP Thank you for pointing out.

Impie

Thank you, Anne and Nancy, for your lovely words. I was very honored Mette has chosen me for her new blog too. She's put a lot of work into it and I'm afraid that not many people know or take the time to read the Jigidi-Post and see my sweet boy. Even my own son didn't realise as he usually goes straight to hiw own pages!!☺☺

calluna

Congratulations Impie! Well-deserved.....and what Anne said so well!

calluna

That's fascinating, Anne. What a difference your southern position makes. Would have assumed you'd be getting snow regularly at that altitude. Enjoy your Currier & Ives scenery....hopefully from inside your warm home. ;-)

alcina

Wow, Atsutsa! That's impressive. We're having high winds in Maryland but luckily no snow.

Atsutsa

@calluna While we are 5500 feet in altitude we are just a bit too far south to be able to count on a lot of snow. In my 20 years here this is nearly a record snowfall of about 8 inches total. And it feels like a record in that it's been snowing for nearly 12 hours now. Normally I'd say it would melt by tonight, but this is pretty much replacing the melt with each hour. Maybe by tomorrow morning? as we expect rain this afternoon.

Atsutsa

Aw, that's a wonderful tribute for you....who have brought so many of us together with the love of our cats and our gardens. Thank you, Impie....well deserved recognition!

Impie

Did you pinch your arm when you woke up to this? It's quite a layer that has covered your garden in 8 hours time! :((

@Atsutsa @calluna - P.S. did you check "Jigidi-Post" in the right on the front page of Jigidi? Mette has posted a photo of Goofie!!!♥♥

calluna

Were you dreaming of a winter wonderland, Anne? :-)) Do you get much snow?
