I'm so glad your Michael made his way back to you!

This Michael is, of course, long gone; rats rarely live as long as three years, and Michael barely made it past two-and-a-half. He left behind many fond memories, though.

My daughter had a hamster name Michael many, many years ago, up in her 2nd floor bedroom. He was great at opening his cage and escaping. Usually we caught him quickly, but one day we couldn't find him. A few days went by, and we thought he must have met his maker somewhere--but. that afternoon, I was in our first floor powder room when I heard scratching and scraping inside the walls. Soon, a tiny hole appeared, and I helped make it big enough for Michael to rejoin us. Quite the little adventurer! :-)))

All creatures, great and small, the good Lord made them all. (To each, their own!)

Awww! A cute cuddler. Rats make such good pets. I had one in grammer school and he got out of his cage, we finally found him in my parents closet where he had eaten the lining of their shoes. In spite of this I was allowed to keep him. Mom loved to watch him eat Cheerios.
