Yes carol13 it is only impressive when it comes up. After that it just looks like a normal moon. When it comes up over the mountain just for a little while it is yellow looking. I think it is because of the heat vapors rising up.
I tried to view the Super Moon but where I live, I am in a valley and by the time it was in view, it had risen to where it looked close to normal size. It was still beautiful. Thanks for the impressive view, Cindy.
