Finally finished this little quilt for a friend. She gave me the t-shirts back in September, 2019.
Didn't start on it until last month.

That's a real work of love that group is doing : )

I bet your hubby is Wonderful...something else we have in common! :-)

I don't think my sister's group ever made a king-size quilt, the ones for the graduates are queen size. My sister has the quilt frame that they set up in one of their houses and they can all quilt at it while chatting. It can scroll the quilt up in-between sessions.

Thank you for your comment, Merrie. Interesting story. I only heard about t-shirt quilts a few years ago. I made a king-size t-shirt quilts with fleece backing in the rag-quilt design. It was the only way I could quilt such a large thing. Worked well. We have something in common -- my husband's name is also Rick! Have a great day.

That is great! She will really get a kick out of it now that it has 'mellowed'...the memories will be even stronger.
My sister and a small group of quilters make a quilt for each of the high school seniors that graduate. They use t-shirts, sports images, and special things for each individual. They have done this for almost 20 years now and say that many of the seniors have sent thank you notes even years after graduating.
You are making quality comfort! Keep up the good work!
