View from The Cabot Trail...starting from Baddeck and driving counterclockwise

In June we travelled by rail from Vancouver (British Columbia) to Montreal (Quebec) where we spent five nights. We then took an overnight train to Moncton (New Brunswick). Next we drove to Prince Edward Island, Cape Breton (Nova Scotia), and flew home from Halifax.

And there are way more that I haven't posted, Wendy! LOL You just can't help yourself what with digital cameras and all that beautiful countryside and wave action. ;DDD

unicorn3

Wow, you really have taken some very beautiful scenic photos...............Wendy

It is beautiful, Suzy, and it's so nice to be able to move at your own pace without being pushed along by crowds of people and coach tours. Mind you, it would take a humungous amount of coach tours to even attempt to fill up Cape Breton. And looking at any area in Nova Scotia, you can fully understand why the Scots chose to settle here. ❤️❤️

In June things are quiet calm here. I am so happy you got to enjoy the peace and relaxation of Nova Scotia, Faye. We were quite smitten with it!

It is, lela...a rural population, not many cars on the road, kids still in school. I imagine that it's busier in July and August when the tourist season really opens up and the weather is warmer. Also, it is a National Park so there are no really big cities up here...just small towns along the coast where everybody knows everybody else. Suzy and Jim camped and hiked up here last year...lots of rugged wilderness, small lakes in the interior...a mini version of how all Canada is viewed by the rest of the world.

lelabugosi

It all looks so quiet .... people-wise, that is.

The weather started off like this, Ardy, and we were disappointed...but it did clear up when we got to the west side of the island...and as you say, no matter what, the scenery is beautiful! ❤️❤️❤️

P.S. I think you'll notice some change in the blue later on.

ringleader

I'm really sorry you didn't have better weather. That water is the most beautiful blue. On one trip I had a very blue car. Somewhere I have a picture of it against the water and they are the same color. But the scenery is spectacular even when it's cloudy. Thanks, Faye. ♥

gemstone

LOL Marilyn...but it's just rocks...more rocks! ;D

canoekaw

It looks like one giant alligator out in the water.
