The correct answer is ***** ALANIS MORISSETTE *****

Alanis Morissette is a Canadian-American singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, record producer and actress. Her best known album is "Jagged Little Pill". Originally released in 1995 an acoustic re-recording was released marking the 10th anniversary. The original recordings have been re-released twice in commemorative box sets for the 20th and 25th anniversaries. In 2018 the musical, "Jagged Little Pill", debuted. It featured some of the music from it's namesake album along with other tunes from Morissette's albums.
In mid-2004 Alanis added another title to her name when she became an ordained minister with the Universal Life Church.
Although born in Canada Alanis became a US citizen on 11 February 2005 and now considers herself a Canadian-American.

BIRTH NAME: Alanis Nadine Morissette
PROFESSIONALLY KNOWN AS: Alanis, Alanis Nadine and Alanis Morissette

BORN: June 1, 1974 at the Riverside Hospital in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
Both parents being teachers attached to the military meant that the family spent 3 years at a military base near Lahr, Germany. Returning to Ottowa in 1980 aged 6 and started studying piano. By the age of 10 she was writing her own material.
In 1991she underwent therapy as she was suffering with anorexia and bulimia nervosa. Her illness was thought to be due to the professional pressure on her . . . at the time she was recording her first album for MCA Records.

Attended kindergarten in Germany.
1980-1986 Holy Family Catholic School, Owl Drive, Ottawa, Ontario
1986-1988 Immaculata High School, Main Street, Ottawa, Ontario
1988-1992 Glebe Collegiate Institute, Glebe Avenue Ottawa, Ontario. Graduated in 1992.

THEATRE: Between 1985 and 1988 Alanis Morissette was a member of the Orpheus Musical Theatre Society an amateur troupe based in Ottowa. During this time she had supporting roles in their stage productions such as "Annie" and "Oliver!".
From March 21 to April 2 2000 she appeared in an Off-Broadway production of "The Vagina Monologues" and in 2003 she repeated her Off-Broadway experience in the play "The Exonerated" as 'Sunny Jacobs'.

DEBUT: 1986 "You Can't Do That on Television" (season 7). A Canadian children's TV series. Her initial appearances (as herself) were uncredited but by her 3rd appearance she was credited as Alanis. She left in 1987 and used her earnings to finance her first single. Since those early days she has made several guest appearances on TV shows and series as both an actress and as singer including "Sex and the City" and recurring roles on "Nip/Tuck" and "Weeds"

FILM . . .
DEBUT: 13 September 1993 "Just One of the Girls" (original title Anything for Love). Originally screened on US TV it then went 'direct-to-video'. She appears in the film as a singer with the band performing 3 numbers on the soundtrack but did not receive an acting credit. She was given a credit for her soundtrack performance as 'Alanis'.
She returned to the silver screen in 1999 in a somewhat kooky portrayal of 'God' in the Ben Affleck, Matt Damon film "Dogma".

MUSIC . . .
In 1987 Alanis released her first single Fate Stay With Me/Find The Right Man (B side). She had written the lyrics and recorded the songs when she was 10. A local folk singer, Lindsay Morgan, helped write the music and also produced it. 1000 copies were pressed using her earnings from her TV appearances. They were not sold commercially and with most ending up with family and friends it is now considered a collector's item.
In 1988 she appeared on the on American TV talent show "Star Search" as 'Alanis Nadine'. Although she was voted off early on it led to her signing signing a 2 album deal with MCA resulting in 2 dance-pop albums "Alanis" (1991) and "Now Is the Time" (1992) and 3 hit singles. All were only released in Canada.
After graduating from high school in 1992 she moved to Toronto under the guidance of her manager Scott Welch where she met producer and songwriter Glen Ballard. Together they wrote and recorded her first international album release "Jagged Little Pill" (1995). The album, which was more rock orientated than her previous recordings was a worldwide success and became one of the best selling albums of the 1990s. Now a multi-award winning artiste she embarked on a world tour. 1995 was also the year that she started playing guitar.
Other albums include "Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie2 (1998), "Under Rug Swept" (2002) and "Flavors of Entanglement" (2008).
Although she continues to record her record sales have never managed to match those of the album that launched her career, "Little Jagged Pill".
After an 8 year break Alanis released her latest album "Such Pretty Forks in the Road" in July 1920. She was due to promote the album on a world tour which was due to start in June 2020 but the tour dates have been rescheduled to start this June (2021) because of the Covid19 pandemic.

MARRIAGE: Alanis Morissette married US hip hop artist and rapper "Souleye" (Mario Treadway) on May 22, 2010. They now have 3 children.

THE CHAIN LINK to Matt LeBlanc . . .
During his early career Matt LeBlanc appeared in several music videos including Alanis Morissette’s single "Walk Away" in 1991. He is featured as her boyfriend who arrives late for a date with her.

Hi everyone . . . I thought I said no more aces . . . lol

Congratulations got to Joan for her winning answer. Not quite sure what you meant by "with a Joey link" so couldn't really award a "Dubble Bubble". If you mean her ex who played 'Joey' in "Full House" and that 'revenge song' then you will see it wasn't the link . . . sorry. I couldn't think of any other "Joey" connection.

lol Beth and Allison . . . I know I have occasionally hit on a celebrity that has recently hit the news (usually by accident) but Marilyn Manson isn't one of those times. As for Ashton Kutcher . . . for now, but who knows what the future holds . . . ;-)
