Taken May 28, 2018, at the Lincoln Park Zoo. The birds and even a Mallard duck pair waited for crumbs from our picnic lunch!

Thanks, Wendy.
Eew, Parson! Despite your pun, I can't imagine feeding birds cheese -- that's worse than "crumby" -- it seems downright dangerous!!

I would also like to add: don't give cheese to birds either, because beggars can't be cheesers.

Vancouver is a very big city now. I was born there and I have seen many changes. My daughter lives in Vancouver so I so in to see her once in a while, but mainly I stay out in the Valley, less traffic!!! So glad you enjoyed your time there. And I agree, the view from Grouse Mountain is just amazing.............Wendy

That's very informative, Wendy. Thanks for sharing that. By the way, I've been to Stanley Park -- it's really pretty. I've also taken the gondola up to Grouse Mountain. What a view! You live in a beautiful city. I have to say, though, that just a few years ago we went up there from Seattle to visit a fellow Jigidier (cevas), and I was struck by the huge skyscrapers downtown that weren't there when I was growing up in Seattle or even in my early adult years. It had changed so much! I could hardly believe it.

We have our Stanley Park in Vancouver and they have stopped people from throwing bread to all the birds. They have discovered that the bread, when it gets wet in their tummy's, actually swells and give the birds a false sense of being full, but in essence, they could actually starve...........Wendy

joyfulli

No, I didn't know that, Wendy. I'll have to tell my son. He's the one who tossed some bread. I"m glad you like Ian's picture. It was such a pleasure to spend some time with him.

unicorn3

Of course Ian's photo is very special, but your other pics are just great. Love this one of the bird, caught with bread in his mouth. Did you know that bread does not fill their tummy's and actually does them no good at all? ...........Wendy
