I am fascinated by the bridges...I have not seen them (even though I spent a year and a half touring the us)........but I sure would love to.......this one seems to have a window at the other this so??..might just be the way it looks from here??.......thanks for have a lot of nice puzzles.......robin

Thank you, very far from Pakistan, where I live and from Switzerland, where I belong

Hi oldiepumpkin, I'm an old Gentleman. I live about 50 miles from the bridges in Iowa.

I often see you on the top of my puzzles and am wondering, are you really a gentleman (jntleman) or an old lady like me?

The county seat for Madison County is Winterset, Ia. Winterset is also the birthplace of John Wayne. The house he was born in is now a museum.

Read this book and seen the movie. Great story. Thanks for the pictures.

Janemartin, last weekend was "Covered Bridges Days" in Winterset. Are you close to Independence?

Beekay, I will be going through Winterset Saturday on the way to Des Moines. If I have time I will get more Pictures. Maybe some of John Wayne's home too.

Will you post the other 5 bridges?

i love covered bridges. thanks.
