Mick you are correct this one was just as you say including Rolls petrol

I used to drive one of these. Oddly the steering wheel was offset from the driver and the brakes were prone to heat fade. The steering was high-geared also meaning it took some effort to turn a corner. The one I drove had a Rolls Royce engine and was fitted with a crash gearbox. The third gear was fantastic and in was possible to pull away and go to top speed in that gear alone.

Have went to fires in one of those how did we get all our equipment & breathing apparatus on board

Yes, Lledo made some quality pieces of vehicles not often (or sometimes ever) seen in the USA. I have a few Lledos, but not many.

Hi fyreline. I like your puzzle. You're right about the unusual looking British trucks. I have about 100 Lledo die cast trucks and many of them are very unusual looking compared to our American vehicles. I do have one of these Dennis fire trucks. I'm sure you probably know that Lledo was the predecessor of Matchbox, Corgi and Hot Wheels. Very nice little collectibles.

The British fire "appliances" are so very different from those here in the United States. Not better, not worse - just different. And interesting.

What a beautiful machine! Thanks for sharing.
