Oh I enjoyed this a lot too, Carol! I didn’t expect it from her but I liked the strokes of the pastels and it told the whole story. Thank you!


You're welcome, Isaly. I haven't done any research but other paintings I've seen of Mary Cassatt (including a self-portrait) have shown her to have red hair, so I'm wondering if this might be a self-portrait. If so, this is a very different portrayal than the portraits where she's very covered up and buttoned down.
