Thank you Andie.

Thanks Clive,a nice fruit indeed.

So sad Clive, we need the rain but then the bees and other good bugs don't like it. Fingers xxx that next year will be a block buster for your mason bees. (✿☯‿☯✿)

I just cut the dragon seed fruit, washed the seeds and stuck them in a pot. For some reason dragon fruit are quite cheap in the store, unlike most exotic fruit in Canada. (✿☯‿☯✿)

Oh just to say the link let me see him and the bees what a good fellow.

Bubble good for you with the dragon fruit I love them can,t get them here in the Uk but buy them and enyoy eating them when we go to the middle east. Sadly not this year. Good on that bee keeper but my bees do not sting had a sad year for my bees it has not stopped raining and the few sunny days were too hot so do not know what next year will be for my bees.

Clive, you can use passion fruit berries for so many things, they look lovely and ripe.

I'm growing some tiny dragon fruit seedlings. They are about half an inch and one has a teeny fruit on it. Doubt whether they will mature but I'll see.

On the tv Island news last night a bee nest of 20,000 bees with 30lb honey was found in the corner of a roof of the Gordon Head community hall (we used to live in the area of Gordon Head, Victoria). Luckily they called a local bee person called Barry who came and carefully took all the bees and honey out and relocated them in his garden.
He explained to the viewers that he sprays himself with peppermint essence in a spray bottle to calm the bees down enough that they won't sting him.

Here is the link to CHEK tv news hope you can open it.

Now that you have said Jam Maria I will get my sons Greek partner to make me some Passion fruit jam she is a grate cook. and makes all sorts of jam. Her cherry and walnut jam is is my favorite. LOL!!!

Watchman

Yes, most plants start off wild. Some plants are genetically modified for gardens. Just different between the passion fruit vine, flowers, and fruit is neat to see. The seeds are edible and if you have enough you can make jam, which I never have tried.

CJ45

The fruits are about 40 mm long and about 30 mm wide the fruit is red the pips black and crungy to eat. LOL!!! I will take another picture of a fruit in my hand to show the size tomorrow. they are nice to eat I mean the insides not the outsides.
Maria every plant is wild like the human race, just saying.

RebeccaB

Does anyone know what they taste like? Sweet? Tart? Bland?

jeribar8

I agree with RebeccaC...
Not sure if I would eat that or not. Probably not.

puzzeljac

Is that red the pips, Clive? I agree with Rebecca, it looks like a fruit pastry. Thanks for showing. ♥♥♥

Watchman

Wow, the seeds in our fruit it not that color either. The Passion Fruit that I am growing grows in the wild here in the Ozark Woods. I harvested the seeds and started many vines up by my house.

nanab

You're a brave man Clive!

RebeccaB

Wow, I thought that was a fruit pastry!
