This squash plant was growing in a ditch along the side of the road, all by itself, out in the country. It even had little squashes on the vine.

Wow laure stunning pic and gorgeous puzzle xx hugs ♥

Definitely pretty flowers. Thanks for catching this one for us, Laura :)

A beautiful bloom, LJ. Hope the resulting produce is tasty!
triciab - Thanks for the info - I didn't know that (Hubby has an allotment).

Their flowers are very cute, Thanks, Laura.

I don't like to rain on your parade... but chances are pretty good that it's more gourd than squash. All the gourd/squash/cucumber family hybridize REALLY easily, and the resulting "critter" is usually not quite any one of them. Of course that doesn't mean that they're not pretty :-) But unless you control the fertilization pretty closely, you can have a squashy-looking cucumber, or a pumpkin that has cucumber-like flesh. But it'll still be interesting to see what it produces :-)

A lovely little plant doing what it is supposed to do. Maybe you can have some fresh squash, Laura. Keep an eye on it. Thanks.
