((Fay)) my library doesn't have anything by Antonia Ridge. :(

Fowly

Great ((TigerCat)) hope you enjoy it ad much as I did...I have read it twice. Also, if you like roses, ~For love of a Rose~ By Antonia Ridge is worth a read. Fay. {{(*_*)}}

TigerCat

Thanks so much ((Fay)) for the book tips. My library system does not have anything by Arthur Upfield or Ian Idriess but the main branch does have 'I Heard The Owl Call My Name' so I have put that one on order. ❤️⁀‿⁀❤️

Hello ((TigerCat)), I am wondering if you have read any of Australian author, Arthur Upfield’s books. He writes of detective Napoleon Bonaparte, a half aboriginal detective. I have read them all and they will have you looking at your atlas frequently. He paints a very good verbal picture of the Australian outback. Another (single) book I could suggest is `The Cattle King’ by Ian Idriess. Written in 1935 it is a true story that tells of pastoralist Sydney Kidmans cattle empire.......a book I really enjoyed.
I used to read a lot, and listened to many talking books while doing counted cross stitch, but I can’t get into them any more...prefer my iPad these days.
We have a private library library in my village and I used to help for a couple of years...I love BOOKS. Another one i loved, ...”I heard the owl call my name”. By Margaret Craven. Another true story. all food for thought isn’t it. One can lose oneself in a good book. I do miss it. I could go on and on about Good Books, TigerCat, I still have some from my early childhood including `Scotty in Gumnutland’ by May Gibbs and `The story of the Willow Patterned Plate’. Must go and buy my paper, stay well, happy reading. (((TigerCat-Fay)))

TigerCat

Hello my dear friend (((Fay))). All is well here and I'm happy to know that you are fine. The big event for me will be the opening of the library. For a couple of weeks now we have been able to pick up books that we ordered, at the door. Now, in 8 days time we will be able to go in and browse the stacks for 45 minutes. I live just a short walk away and I love to go there on a regular basis. Reading has always been a great joy for me and I have 2 or 3 books on my coffee table at all times.
I have always enjoyed stories that take place in Australia and am reading one now. It's called The Inaugural Meeting of the Fairvale Ladies Book Club. It takes place in 1978 with the main character running a station in the Northern Territory. ❤️⁀‿⁀❤️

Hello ((Dear TigerCat)), This area of Kodayland seems to be prepared for Global Warming!!! And of course Appletree has set me off on a counting expedition. I have lost a human..only can find 9, oh dear I do hope one hasn’t fallen into the pond!!!
His puzzles are quite well received aren’t they, I love them. Hope you are still OK TigerCat, we still all have a long way to go with this isolation etc , but I don’t mind staying home and shopped in my local village this week. We are doing a good job of coping with the situation aren’t we. Big hugs (((my friend))). Fay.❤️

TigerCat
