Why are you reporting this puzzle?

Set your alarm and wake up early on Sunday, July 19. About 45 minutes before sunrise, you'll be able to see five planets and the crescent moon without using a telescope. Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn, as well as the moon, will all be visible.

Venus will be very bright in the eastern sky. A very thin crescent moon will be very low in the east-northeast part of the sky. Mercury will be to the right of the moon, Mars will be about halfway up in the sky in the south-southeast, Jupiter will be just above the horizon in the southwest, and Saturn will be to the upper left of Jupiter.

lol, it was there for the taking ;-)

Juba1010

I almost choked on that snickers Max. Timing. LOL

Max_Tooney

Returner, I assure you--you haven't missed anything, lol. I'm suffering from puzzle posting burnout.

Returner

Not sure how I dropped out of your comments and puzzles. Happy to see you now!

msbonne

Have you tried pushing "rewind"?

nanab

GRRRRRRRRRR - I woke up at 4:00AM all excited, but forgot why I was excited and fell back to sleep. Missed all of it. : (

msbonne

I have a clear vodka.

Max_Tooney

I'll get a good view of it if I have a rare (VERY rare this year) clear sky.

msbonne

I have a planetarium at the compound, should be nice.

Watchman

I have to go up the mountain to my neighbors clearing to view this or I will try to see it in the hollow or just stay in bed.

Juba1010

Pre dawn three days a week is enough for me.

Max_Tooney

(And an alarm clock)

Max_Tooney

Deforestation could solve your problem.

Juba1010

Oh darn. Too many trees in the way. Can’t get up predawn on Sunday.

msbonne

I understand. I did not mean to "Pal" you either. There must be something going round the table.

Max_Tooney

My apologies. It's the result of a sleepless Knight.

msbonne

Don't you dare "sir" me pal.

Watchman

;-))))

Max_Tooney

Keith Iceberg would disapprove of that suggestion, Sir.

msbonne

When the moon moons Jupiter, can the Jupiterians see it?

Max_Tooney

nanab--due to the 'pre-dawn' glow in the east this time of year, the thin crescent moon and Mercury will be the hardest to see.

Watchman

Even if I had received that much within a few week everything would be drying out and becoming a fire danger every time the wind blew, It was a very rainy spring. We were at least 13" on the plus side for the year in the spring, not anymore. ;-)

Max_Tooney

Want to borrow some? I've now had nearly 53" of rainfall this year.

nanab

Thanks Max, can't wait to see them! Better be a clear sky or else.

Watchman

Cool, I hope it is a clear morning sky to see that; however, we still need some rain. My rain barrels are running dry.
