Yes, I agree, stunned. More than I expected. You're welcome!

The water is beautiful and it sounds like Senegal has had lots of obstacles to dodge. Dakar sounds like a nice place to visit, many interesting things to see and experience. Thanks so much for this fun post.

Bill_I_Am

Huh? Why does it have to be either or? Sheesh. You're welcome, Gayle.

Bommom

I'll take the ocean, you can have the 2.4 million people. Thanks, Bill!

Bill_I_Am

Thanks, Judy. I thought it was fun to solve, too.

I know, luly. Never enough time or money. :-/ I'm glad you enjoyed visiting Dakar and thanks for saying so!

I enjoyed your puzzle Bill and also enjoyed very much reading about it! Your very interesting description of Senegal and its capital and all the other details. You could have continued south a bit more when you were in Morocco and visited Senegal... ;-)

"Bustling, colorful Senegal is one of West Africa's most popular destinations, and also one of the region's safest. The capital, Dakar, is a vibrant city famous for its lively markets and rich musical culture. Elsewhere, Senegal boasts beautiful colonial architecture, secluded beaches blessed with world-famous surf breaks, and remote riverine deltas teeming with wildlife."

"Senegal, the westernmost country in Africa, has a population of about 15 million people. Nearly half of the Senegalese population – 46.7 percent, to be exact – are living in poverty. ... In rural areas, 66 percent of residents are considered poor compared to 23 percent of residents in Dakar."

Had no idea of the population density that close to shore. Scary when I consider Senegal doe not have one of the world's greatest standards of living.
