Ribes sanguineum. King Edward VII Flowering Currant produces large, vivid, bright red flowers in spring on stiff, upright stems. It is drought tolerant once established and grows well in full sun or partial shade. The fruit are blue-black and produced in July. Currants are a wonderful native plant that has been used for years as a food source for Native Americans for many years. Red flowering currants provide nectar and habitat for hummingbirds, bees and butterflies.

Glad to hear you are having our MRI tomorrow. Hopefully they will be able to tell you more after that. Please keep me posted. I am fine. Cloudy but mild temps. here today. A nice change from the Artic Blast that came through. No snow is good!

I thought the color beautiful, as well, Cyndi☺ I'm a bit better today, I think. Heading off for my MRI on both shoulders tomorrow morning. We'll see about surgery following. How are you doing? Is all well? It looks like we will have a dreary day here again. The encouraging part is there is no snow on the ground at the moment. Take good care and hugs, My Friend! ♪♥♥♫
