I think your early morning and long trek was worth it. And I also think you'll be impressed with our birdlife too! (❛ᴗ❛)
Wim and Kirsten. So glad you liked the bird. I got up at 5:00 am and walked for an hour on a muddy trail, then took over 100 photos to capure him. Kirsten, one of these days I'm hoping to see Australian birds in person!
What a lovely thing to do, Dotty! Thank you. He reminds me a little of our "King Parrot", which I am lucky enough to get in my garden sometimes. (funnily enough, just as typed that, I can suddenly hear one of them calling nearby). Here's a shot of one that I took while away, down on our south coast, a few years back:https://www.jigidi.com/puzzle.php?id=LLH11OIGAnd what a fascinating trip you must have had. Thanks again! (❛ᴗ❛)
Thanks dotty for this beautiful Rupicola Rupicola. The Dutch name is "Oranje Rotshaan".
