I think it is true what Hillbillytoo writes.On the other hand, it is easy to forsake the world, forsake women (they weren't allowed to even come near the monastries) if you are so far away from the temptation of the world.Praying and thinking is important, true. But helping people personally is of more use; showing your believe in every days life is harder, but usefull.
All I want to know,is there an elevator around back to get up into this place?
I think there is a certain appeal to living in a place like this, whether or not you are a monk. I think one could get a lot of necessary thinking done here. Maybe in my next life, I will be able to test my theory. Thanks you for sharing. connie
