I went to the site of the Okla. City bombing, and right by it, there was a Church almost demolished, and one window was untouched. It was a stained glass window of Christ and an Angel! Not even a chip in that glass. This puzzle is awesome, David, thanks for sharing. Prayers sent up for you and yours from Texas.
My oh my, exactly as foxglove said, a warm reminder . . . how wonderful, David. Hang in there!
I've just heard that our (Maine's) Central Me Power Co. is sending (not sure if they're already on the way) 28 two person repair crews and bucket trucks, along with support personnel & equipment to aide Conn. Power & Light. I'm guessing other states are pitching in as well. You are in our prayers & thoughts!
Since the Memorial Garden is in the town center, it got power back along with the firehouse, police station, library and school buildings. The beautiful Katsura tree is illuminated by the spotlight on the Memorial Garden cross, while all around is still in blackout.
It will be several days before anything is back to normal, maybe up to another week here in Connecticut, and much more in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. Tonight it will be getting much colder, too.
