Our neighbor gave us a cutting of this plant and it has just thrived in our backyard. A trumpet lily I believe. It has a flower coming out of a flower. It also has a growth of some kind just behind the flower in front. Nothing has happened as yet but I am watching it. Just love this plant.

Thank you so much for the info. They really are lovely flowers so when I saw them in my neighbor's yard and commented on them, she gave me two cuttings. They are growing like mad. So glad I put the question out and you were kind enough to answer. Again, thank you so very much.

Beautiful Double Datura (commonly known as devils trumpet) and watch out for the lovely balls of seed after the flower - they are real beauties too!
You need to know that they are poisonous if ingested so be careful if any young toddlers are around. I've had them for years in my garden - just make sure you wash yr hands after touching them as a precaution. Enjoy them!
