I know what you mean Rocky, this mustang was my first brand new car also...the 65 Mustang I traded in only got me $600 ....wish I had kept it also.

k5wno - thank God you weren't hurt, were you? What an awful thing to happen. I should have mentioned my '70 Camaro was my first-ever car, and new at that. Loved it. Should have kept it. But I was newly married and we couldn't afford 2 cars. Sure would like to have another one.

In 1971 I bought a 72 Mustang Mach 1with Golden Glow paint that pretty well matches this SS. The Mustang I still have, but on Memorial day last year an idiot entered the freeway and came across three lanes and slammed into me ...I was knocked into the center median and took down about 35 yards of steel posts with 3 strands of wire cable/rope running thru them with the front end and grill, then it flipped me around backwards astraddle the fence and I continued to mow down another 25 or so yards with two strands of the wire going over the top of the car until I came to a stop. The damage was extensive...both doors and the driver side quarterpanel were untouched and no glass was broken anywhere. Ever thing else was trashed or had wire cable cuts like a band saw was taken to it. No other cars were involved and the other vehicle kept going. I stepped out of Goldie without a scratch on me. My heart was broken...but so help me God, I will get her restored...

I had a 1970 Camaro this same color. My first NEW car. Loved it, still miss it. Bought it when I was 18.
