Turtles of Topsail Island

Yes, it is. Each year we have something different. One ornament we got a couple years after we moved to NC from Ohio. My niece sent us an ornament that was wishing us a white Christmas. It snowed that Christmas and hasn't since. It was a surprise snow that year because we rarely get snow. I say it was because of my niece and that ornament. Each of our ornaments have memories for sure.

We have sea turtles lay their eggs on the beach and then they hatch.

What a wonderful thing to do for the injured, nesting & hatching & babies. And this is a great souvenir.

Lucky you going to Hawaii, especially in the middle of winter. I have never been west of the Mississippi. Lived all up and down the east coast, though.

that is an excellent cause. i support a number of animal rights and conservation groups and i am hoping to see turtles in february when i will be in hawaii for a week.

At a Sea World in Florida I got to visit a sea life rehab center and they had a sea turtle there. Very important places! Grins!☺

such a shame - we saw some wonderful turtles at the aquarium in eilat, israel and went to a dolphin show in a theatre there - was awesome and there was spray from our chairs and they also moved as we watched the show - xx saw some lovely fish under the sea and it was just so special xxxx

We actually went and visited the sea turtle hospital on the day we were leaving the beach. It was the first day of opening to the public for the summer. The line was long and we waited in the hot sun for at least an hour or two to get in. It is very popular. And the turtles are so adorable. Those poor things get tangled up in fishing lines and boat motors. Some of them are a mess of scars. Those wonderful people who volunteer and nurse them back to health.
