They are a bit rough & ready for today's tastes, but as you folks have said, damned near indestructible - and their very simplicity lends them a certain charm. I have seen them completely rebuilt from the ground up, with the additions of power steering, power brakes, air conditioning and more power. That makes for a wonderful and more useable vehicle - but some folks still think the originals are the best.
