Caleb Cheeshahteaumuck
¿Por qué reportas este rompecabezas?
In 1665, Caleb Cheeshahteaumuck became the first Native American to graduate from Harvard University. A member of the Wampanoag tribe in Martha's Vineyard, he and a Wampanoag classmate were taught on the Vineyard by Peter Folger, the maternal grandfather to Benjamin Franklin, then at a grammar school in Cambridge in around 1657, before entering Harvard's Indian College. Geraldine Brooks' novel, "Caleb's Crossing," is based on his experience.
