In Today's Daily Jigsaw Puzzle, we visit the Akorda Presidential Palace in Astana, Kazakhstan. It is an architectural icon built from 2001 to 2004 and the official workplace of the President of Kazakhstan.

The palace is located in the heart of Astana (formerly called Nur-Sultan, with the name changing back in 2022). It reflects the city's rapid growth and futuristic skyline.

Completed in 2004, Akorda features a blend of neoclassical and modern architectural elements. Its exterior is made of white Italian marble, and its impressive golden dome rises 80 meters above. The interior is equally grand, showcasing richly adorned halls such as the Marble Hall, Golden Hall, and Oval Hall, which are used for official functions and diplomatic receptions.

Kazakhstan is the world's largest landlocked country, boasting diverse landscapes, including vast steppes, deserts, and mountain ranges. With an area of about 2.7 million square kilometers (over a million square miles), it is the ninth-largest country globally but entirely surrounded by land ♥
