I do live "down at the" quay" cathy......but I am close to the other end from the fire......it was maybe abour half a mile down from me.....big uproar at the time though......lol
I have not been here in awhille...don't know why I have not had a "memo" thanks nana........I was addopted into it as a baby.....and I have been glad of that ever since......I have a great extended family
I think it is fascinating in looking at this photo I noticed the lovely fabric on the chairs. My grandmother had a couch in the fifties covered in something similar. And as a child, I loved to stroke the woven satin ribbons.

Hi there ~~~ A few years ago a neighbor mentioned her "mackabroin" and I questioned it's meaning. She said it was a Jewish term to describe "the other mother-in-law." In other words, I would use it when referring to my daughter-in-law's mom, And I'm not even Jewish, but I do love Jewish food (LOL LOL.) Have you ever heard this explanation? I think she said it was a loving term of indearment (sp?)
I am scottish......findochty whas where my family came from.....I had a great uncle with a sort of "schooner" boat and he crossed the pond 4 times in his life.....I did go there...and of course the whole village had to see the flett from canada.......LOL....neat little village though...would be nice to go back

Hi robin my sister could play and got her degree in music, I tried but like you I am two right hands and two left hands but both hands have given me a great help in the industry that I grew up in and helped me to get to the top of my industry before I retired. LOL!!! Just to say I am still trying to retire but will be with a friend in July this year to promote his new invention on preventing fires in buildings.
my mom could play and she would sit down with them most days and "putter".....and eventually they "got" it.....lol..all except adam (scrunching in front of paul)........he is like me....two left hands.....lol...thanks clive
