In Today's Daily Jigsaw Puzzle, we visit Trinity in Newfoundland, Canada. Trinity is a picturesque Bonavista Peninsula town. Located within a sheltered harbor, the area is surrounded by rolling hills, rugged cliffs, and the Atlantic Ocean.

The region was first used by Indigenous peoples, including the Beothuk, who lived off the land and sea. European settlement began in the early 16th century, with Trinity becoming an important hub for the cod fishery. Portuguese explorers named the area "Trinity" in the early 1500s, inspired by their arrival on Trinity Sunday.

By the 18th century, Trinity thrived as a commercial center, with merchants managing extensive fishing operations that linked Newfoundland to European and Caribbean markets. The town's prosperity is evident in its well-preserved Georgian architecture, including merchant homes and churches, many of which still stand today.

Today, Trinity has a population of around 200 people. Many residents are involved in the tourism industry, operating heritage sites, inns, and boat tours that showcase the area's history and natural beauty. Others continue traditional practices like fishing or work in nearby communities ♥
