piers are such wonderful “destinations” or “turn around places” for beach walks, among other things....they add so much to a waterscape and help us figure distances as wells places to fish from...they do add a certain romance to the beach scene, for sure. sorry yours is gone too!!!❣️

My pier was, all my life, in Aransas Bay, Texas. Hurricane Harvey took most of it, but not before 5 generations of my family posed there!

sorry...no....the Sheraton Pier at Pine Knoll Shores....long gone...taken out by many storms...
