Deactivate scripts or extensions
If you have an extension or script installed that alters the functionality of Jigidi, you may find that our jigsaw puzzles or other parts of Jigidi don't work as expected.
Before reaching out to us, please try deactivating such scripts or extensions to make sure any problem you experience isn't caused by something installed on your computer.
Deactivating extensions / add-ons
Extensions (also called "Add-ons") add functionality to your browser. What they do and their effect on your browsing experience depends on the individual extension, but they all can be managed and uninstalled in a central place in your browser.
Follow these instructions on how to uninstall or deactivate extensions in:
Google Chrome: Install and manage extensions
Firefox: Disable or remove Add-ons
Microsoft Edge: Add, turn off, or remove extensions
Deactivating scripts
Scripts (or "userscripts") add or alter functionality of websites in a similar way as extensions. Scripts are managed by an extension (such as Tampermonkey or Greasemonkey) that simplifies the development of the scripts.
Please note, if the sole purpose of having a script manager installed is to run a single script that alters the functionality of Jigidi, it may be best to uninstall the script manager altogether (see above).
Keeping your system free of unnecessary third party software makes it less prone to errors.
Follow these instructions to deactivate a userscript managed by Tampermonkey:
- Go to a page where the userscript is active and open the Tampermonkey popup menu.
- Deactivate the userscript (in this case, the "Automagic Jigidi Solver").
If you use a different script manager, the process will be different but similar.
