There are some where I don't, either, but you make it as often as I do! And, yes, the really small ones are a special case.

Just give up, whatnauts, and admit you're really good at solving--I gave up and called a puzzle Post-its, after all...!

While it's true, I usually make the board on your small puzzles, there are some that I don't. And there have been several of Wendy's where I didn't make the board either - especially when the puzzles are under 40 pc.

You more or less also beat me, whatnauts...! You're also the person who didn't think small puzzles would be easy for you, and you make the board all the time on those! I

Can you imagine the rules for that game, jranders?! I don't think I'd be able to play it...! LOL! And I wasn't trying to be analytical as much as feeling desperate floundering around and looking for some way out of my confusion!

Thanks to you both--glad you enjoyed it!

I obviously am not sufficiently analytical about my approach to solving puzzles. I'll try to think more about my method next time. Nevertheless, I enjoyed struggling along with this one. Made me think of a child's elaborate tic tac toe.

Wow, I'm always surprised to find myself on the board with this type of puzzle. I more or less solved it the same as you and enjoyed it very much.

Thanks, jillyjig and debs! I'm so glad you enjoyed this!

pdevredis

Thanks so much, Kathy--I'm glad you thought that a similar strategy worked--I didn't want to be messing other people up! :-)))

debs

Great fun!!
Thank you pdevredis :)

Lovely puzzle! Thank you!

I followed roughly the same strategy, Pat, and had the best results yet on one of these weavings puzzles. Glad I opted for this size ~ very enjoyable!

It really helps to ignore the color sorting for the most part--sure, you can assemble the solid squares, but it takes a lot of sorting to do it, and then there's all the rest of the pieces to place! I really did find that doing the border and dark background, then filling in the "graph", was a better way to go--but that's what worked for me, and won't necessarily work for anyone else!

I hope you enjoy whatever size you do!

whatnauts

I haven't yet decided which size I'll solve, but I'm leaning this way!!!

Thanks, Nancy--I've done ones like this before, and I found it best to set up the border with the next dark blue inner row all around, and then just concentrate on the little colored lines that are horizontal and vertical, without ever sorting the other pieces. I put a piece with a yellow vertical and a fuchsia horizontal, say, right where those 2 lines should meet in the interior. I then do the same with an orange vertical and a powder blue horizontal. The ones that have only a vertical or a horizontal I put after those. The pieces end up connecting themselves when you plot them... Anyway, it helps me to do it that way...!

This puzzle......well it is a tough puzzle but I loved doing it and I didn't even make the board thanks Pat.

Come into my puzzle-parlor said the spider to the fly...! Glad you didn't mind becoming ensnared in it! Thanks, siouxzn!

Oh what a jigidi web she weaves...those of us who have tugged on the ravelings salute--and thank you. :-)
