Note: I wasn't going to post this puzzle in this size (I posted it using my Wendy_13 alias in a much smaller size), but because a friend of mine wanted a super large size, I posted it. In order to make this more fun for me, when someone gets the top spot, I'm changing the title to reflect the current situation. If you don't want to have your name in the title, it would probably be better if you didn't solve the puzzle....just in case you manage to get the top spot. LOL
However, since I can't be up 24 hours a day, there's a chance that my updating will be delayed.

Oh, and in your case, if you seriously can't find some of the pieces, don't just scroll down. Move/DRAG your screen to the left and right, and top to bottom. Don't worry, the pieces are there.

Wendy13

mkl116, I'm laughing but maybe I shouldn't be. I noticed that you haven't been on Jigidi that long so you may have actually experienced what I experienced when I first started solving. Occasionally I couldn't find all the pieces. What it turned out was the problem was that sometimes a few pieces would be way down on the monitor screen and I had to scroll down to find them.

WHY ARE THERE PIECES MISSING????

Wendy13

emb119, what a terrific surprise!

I LOVE your responses to my questions and your comments. First, Happy Late Birthday.
I was born in PA and although I've lived in different places since, I always end up back in PA.

I come from a pot smoking family. All five of my siblings either smoke it now, or used to smoke it. I'm the only one who doesn't like it....because it used to make me sleepy. I hitchhiked to California in my 20s and pot was free (because guys were always giving it to me), but I would only smoke it to be polite. I'm not kidding. LOL

I agree with all you said about it though. ;-)

Now a little warning....and although it's a little one, it's worth listening to. Jigidi really is highly addictive. In order to do well in college, you really should limit the amount of time you spend solving puzzles. I'm serious.

Good luck to you at Pitt. When you've got a good job after graduating, you'll be able to solve puzzles all you want. Well, after you retire from the great job you got. :-)

Wendy13, my answer to all your questions is "yes" and wait, uhhh technically now I'm not a teenager, I just turned 20, still getting used to that... I guess I should've said "college student" as I go to Pitt (my Jigidi username is also my school username, so I won't ever forget it, haha) ...but yeah... I was just joking about that, 420 is a number that has to do with pot, I don't actually know why though, but it does, and the colorful swirls were what kids call "trippy"...or uhh..."psychedelic"...and the term "experimenting" can be applied to trying drugs...it was a silly pun...college kid humor, I guess....The puzzle itself was a lot of fun solving, I like all the colors and swirls! Thank you for posting it, and other puzzles, they keep me very entertained and serve as a great (healthy) relaxing tool, which is especially needed in college, haha! (Though I have developed a slight "addiction" to Jigidi) ;)

p.s. I do not support the use of illicit substances!!!

Although marijuana (pot), which is safer than alcohol and even most prescription drugs (no one has ever died from marijuana use, and the study done to show the "lethal dose" was done on rats that were pumped with straight THC (psychoactive ingredient pot) at large concentrations and quantities (4 pounds of it) at a time, which is not consistent with human marijuana administration/consumption at all!), is now legal in two states...and has been decriminalized in many states, and countries...so I don't really count it, as it has medicinal uses, and it's an organic herb, not a synthetic drug being mass-produced by pharmaceutical companies....I'm a huge fan of herbal medicine btw! I like the idea of nature helping nature and the relationship between plants and animals....as I am a biology/neuroscience major :)
I hope this doesn't cause any controversy, I honestly don't encourage the use of drugs (unless for medicinal reasons), it's just that because I made a joke about pot, I feel like it was necessary to point those things out to avoid any possible "issues" on here....and to not give college kids a bad rap, they really are good, hard-working people, who want to secure good futures for themselves, especially here at Pitt, it's a GREAT campus and a GREAT community! Hail 2 Pitt!

aishahm, rats! I just clicked on your name for the first time ever. Most of the time I don't click on people's names because I don't solve puzzles anymore. So it's only when someone does or says something strange or interesting that I do click. Anyway, I read some comments on your puzzles and see that you've just started creating your own puzzles. Oh.........it's an incredible amount of fun, and I see that you've already discovered that.

Since I don't solve puzzles anymore, I don't get any pleasure out of solving mine because I don't. LOL But I do get an enormous amount of pleasure out of creating them. :-)

aishahm

My puzzles rarely get over 25 solves, if that many. I just make what I like and what I know some of my jigidi friends will like. Every now and then, I even find time to solve them myself. I tend to put them off knowing they will always be there if I want them. So as long as you are making puzzles you enjoy, that's what matters most.

Wendy13

aishahm, you did it again! You posted as I just left a comment. I don't think it will get to 100 solves because usually, not always, if I have 80 solves on a super large puzzle within 24 hours, I'll get 100 solves within a few days. But this one is 5 short of 80 and it's over 24 hours old. However, because it's extra complicated, it might be that it's taking people longer to solve it. My goal used to be to get at least 100 solves on every puzzle. That goal failed miserably, so now I have other goals that are more attainable. :-)

Wendy13

ianwill, you were BAD! You knocked my friend Amy off the top spot. I have to think of a reasonable punishment for you or better yet, let Amy come up with something. LOL

aishahm

I'm guessing in a few days this puzzle will easily have over 100 solves. You know a few people have it bookmarked, just waiting for the weekend.

ianwill

First of all, I would like to thank the Academy......(hee hee) You can make all these jumbo sizes you want. That was great!

Wendy13

aishahm, it's weird. For quite some time a lot of people's comments would disappear, and that includes mine. I haven't had that problem for a fairly long time, but you've come up with an interesting new glitch. Oh, wait. It occurs to me that I may have done a little edit on the one I posted, and then reposted it. So it may not be a glitch after all. :-)
OK, you've thoroughly convinced me. I will make more of these in the future. ;-)

aishahm

That is really weird. Your comment was already up there when started to post. It said it had been posted "just now." You should definitely do more like this. It was a lot of fun and it already has quite a few solves.

Wendy13

aishahm, you snuck your comment in right before mine! I'm absolutely delighted that you enjoyed this one so much. That tells me that I should create more like this one. :-)

Wendy13

emb119, I'm not sure how to answer your question but I'll try. And then if you think my answers to your questions are helpful, please answer mine. ;-)

I made this in a small version yesterday or the day before using my Wendy_13 alias, and because it was a new kind of puzzle for me to make, and I wasn't sure if people would like it, I decided to call it "Experimenting." You may or may not be a typical teenager, but I don't think so.

OK, now my questions:
You signed up 4 days ago. Is emb119 your first username?
Are you really a teenager?
Did you enjoy solving the 540 piece puzzle?
Are you going to solve this one too?
That's it!
If you answer all four questions correctly, you might earn the coveted Jigidi award.

aishahm

Wendy, this was fantastic. It was really tough but I enjoyed it a lot. Your experiment was a complete success!

Is there any coincidence regarding the number of pieces (420), the trippy nature of the puzzle itself, and the title, "Experimenting?" Or am I just a typical teenager who notices these kinds of things?

Wendy13

I thought that might happen, Pat. hehehe again ;-)

pdevredis

I can hear that devilish chortle all the way to NY, Wendy! LOL!

Wendy13

Pat! I just got done replying to you and Amy, and then saw that you posted again and I have to laugh. I just added those touches of teal blue to this puzzle...which weren't on the other one! LOL
I think I only had one section of teal blue in the small version. Now I'm so glad I added it. hehehe

pdevredis

It was very tricky--it looked easier than it was, with some nice large solid-colored sections, or so I thought! As it turned out, the baby blue meandered all around, the purple and teal changed places as center/surrounding part, the orange was a river running through it, and, of course, there was that seam running down the last quarter of the right side of the puzzle... ! Ooooh! :-)))))

Wendy13

Oh, Amy.......about your hand. Well, you know I don't have to tell you that that was the beginning of the end for me. Really, I don't know if mine will ever heal now, and I really believe it's because I kept pushing, and pushing until it was to the point that my hand would twitch and then freeze up where I couldn't move it. If that ever happens to you, STOP. Give it a rest.

Challenging puzzles were by far my favorites when I solved puzzles....with the exception of Anitam_2's puzzle which were super easy, but super fun. That was ages ago. :-(

Anyway, I thank you so much for getting the top spot. I was thrilled when you got it. LOL

Pat, once again, I'm surprised that it's gotten this many solves. I can tell that it's a very challenging one....but then you love challenges. :-) I'm so glad you enjoyed it as much as you did. :-)

askidmore1

Alright Pat!!! You go girl!! Very impressive time on such a large, complicated puzzle!

Wendy did such a fine job of blending the colors into tricky and unexpected places. I would be working on blue, then realize there was a disconnected spot of blue in a completely different location. Aaahhh-hhhaaa, tricky girl, Wendy! Always on my toes...

pdevredis

That was so much fun to solve, Wendy--thanks again for posting it! And, as you can see, I'm far from being the only one who loved spending time with this puzzle! :-)))

askidmore1

I was trying to slip in under an hour, but did not quite make it. My hand was KILLING me by the end, but I loved every minute of it, all 64 of them! :-D

There are lots who could bump me off, but these large puzzles scare people away. Too bad, because they really are a great challenge, and surviving until you put that last piece in place, is a wonderful reward! Thank you, Wendy, for feeding our group of large puzzle junkies!

Wendy13

LOL! Pat, I was so glad when Amy took the top spot (because I knew I wouldn't have to check the top spot anymore). But now, looking at the people directly below her, I realize that they're very fast as well.

Almost no one is a threat to Amy on the super large puzzles. ;-)

pdevredis

I think you will be able to stop changing the titles now that Amy is here! LOL! I'm just starting this now, but I'm certainly no threat to her supremacy! :-)))))

Wendy13

Hi there, Ms. Amy. :-)

Wendy13

Magda, the reason I wasn't going to post this one in a huge size is because it's way too much of a challenge for most Jigidiers, and also because it may take some people forever to solve it. LOL!
It's morning for me right now, but afternoon for you so I'll just say Good Afternoon. :-)

oldiepumpkin

This reminds me of the oil-papers we used to produce, putting oil-colors on water, swirling them and the take a "print". I would love to do it, put speaking from experience about my speed for huge puzzles, I better not start it, as I am 75 yrs old, I might not be able to finish it before I go`LOL

Wendy13

OK, four guests have completed this puzzle.
Now I want to know which one of you has the top spot.
Please let me know at your earliest convenience.
#1 Guest, #2 Guest, #3 Guest, or #4 Guest?
